I know that, isn't first degree murder premeditated? Doesn't that mean planned? Like he went there planning to kill Metcalf
wasn't he "two and through" after getting Sandy Duncan'd outside a club alongside Irving Fryar during the Grogan interregnum; like their whole ass passing game after White Dickerson left
He took a knife with him to a location where none is needed... and he willingly plunged the knife into Metcalf's heart. Metcalf was not armed. Life in prison would be the sentence if I were the judge. Anthony is too dangerous to society -- he went there looking for serious trouble -- and created it. They should also explore hate crime charges to see if they are warranted.
I'm not arguing self defense. when Metcalf first started the altercation he warned him not to and Metcalf grabbed him. Did he also take control of Metcalf 's mind?
Yeah, but it's too easy to say all this without context. If someone threatened me and then put their hands on me, depending on what was said, what was done, where I was, and who else was there (or not there), I might be inclined to use deadly force. We simply don't have enough information.
Anthony was begging for a physical confrontation… that matters. He went to the other team’s tent, was asked to leave, refused, and did everything possible to instigate. He is not cleared by Metcalf allegedly “putting his hands on him” which is a purposefully vague statement. You don’t plunge a knife into another person’s heart in response to that. Anthony sought out trouble — he went there looking to use his knife.
He was trying to take shelter in rain. Nobody disputes how the altercation started including Metcalf 's twin brother
Uh huh, right. And Ahmaud Arbery was just out for a jog and stopped by a house under construction to examine the carpentry skill.
It appears you are correct. Thought he played longer than that. He was always cool with me. High jumpers and tripple jumpers are a small herd.
Probably not the case you want to reference given you and the rest of the bloodthirsty dopes on this bbs ended up getting b**** slapped by the truth in court on that one.
Surprise surprise, shameless grifting in full effect. After he took a weapon to a track meet, went inside another school's tent, was told to leave and killed someone for being white, he had a "legal defense" gofundme that raised $500,000. People would straight up pretend this was a lifetime of the white kid bullying when they had never met before the track meet. His family today moved into a million dollar mansion in Dallas for "safety purposes", putting the legal defense to good use. It's the same BLM story on repeat and white people are being called racist for objecting to not wanting to die. Low T white liberals like @DonnyMost don't get that the black community that believes in this won't spare them when a new microaggression comes their way.
He'll be out on parole before his 25th birthday. White people won't riot. Those who contribute to his legal defense will celebrate. The cycle of unprovoked black on white crime will continue getting worse.
Interview with his classmate available on youtube. "Yeah, he caused problems and got into fights but never killed no one or nothing.." W. T. F.
So how much money would he get if he murdered a Black or Latino person ? @pgabriel @CrixusTheUndefeatedGaul @Tomstro
It isn't cut and dry. Texas has capital murder, murder, manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. I suspect he will at worst be convicted or plead to murder or manslaughter. However - he can be charged with capital murder at this point if they believe that he intentionally or knowingly caused the murder of the victim. This is very fact specific, but the fact he had a knife at the event, that he warned the victim and then stabbed him in the chest is all evidence that the state can use to argue that it is capital murder. At least that is how I remember it - but I haven't practiced law in Texas in many years.
In the stands at a track meet? Anything is possible - and as I said - BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW - it is going to be very hard for him to walk on self defense. His best bet is to use it as a mitigating factor.
