There's a guy 2 pages ago talking about Jalen's appearance as a reason for his poor play, and people still want to play this "there are no haters" game.
I think some people have subconscious biases based on race but I don't think it's a factor in relation to basketball. Do they look at Lebron and think, "If only he were white, he'd be even better?" No, they don't. Giannis, Tatum, Shai, etc. I haven't been following this about work ethic and I don't care to bring Reed into this discussion. My comment was about Jalen Green and you've tried to turn it into a Reed discussion. That's not productive. Green can't be criticized without people bringing up any other Rocket player that should be criticized. That's silly. Let Green take the weight. Alperen-his FTs are bad and he needs to shoot a much better percentage down low Amen-he has to be able to shoot the three to reach his potential Jabari-needs to attack more and take advantage of his size Etc. I highlighted your post where you literally said he was a bad defender what are you smoking? "he is by no means a good defender" Thats what you said how am I putting Jalen goggles on? Maybe YOU should take off your hater glasses and realize teams only hunt Jalen because his teammates are some of the best defenders in the league. You are using an exhibition game to say Jalen gets run over by guys and then complaining why he as an SG is getting bullied by a PF like Kuminga. You expect Jalen to guard 1-5 and only then will he be a good defender? Gimme a break dude. He is a better defender than FVV and FVV is considered a good defender. If you dont think Jalen is a good defender then you are just wrong, period. Jalen has Ime's stamp of approval, he knows defense.
Not being a good defender doesn't mean he's bad, he's very much an average defender now and it's very matchup dependent. He's come a long way from his rookie year but there is still much more room for improvement. He literally has the worst defensive rating on our team of the guys who actually get minutes so yes he's not a good defender yet.
What is your proof he is an average defender? He has more defensive win shares than FVV and Jabari so you are wrong there. Ime wont play an average defender so many minutes look at Sengun's PT compared to Jalen.

Thats just one stat of many. How come Jalen has higher defensive win share than FVV and Jabari? Accodring to this list Dillon Brooks has even worse defensive rating than Jalen lol this is a bunch of BS.
Defensive win shares is really weird. Shai lead the league, and he's a solid defender but certainly nothing special. Harden was 3rd in the entire league and he's not very good. Karl Towns was 12th and he's horrific, one of the most damaging defenders in the entire league. I love advanced stats more than basically anyone but that stat seems to fail pretty badly. Also, both FVV and Jabari beat out jalen in that stat on a per minute basis, jalen just played more minutes.
Probably cuz he played more games and minutes cus the other two guys were injured. I think that factors into the calculation for win shares Im not even hating on Jalen. I was just using Jalen as an example on why that same argument against Alpi doesn't make sense. Cuz you were saying how teams hunt Alpi. Just pointing out your hipocrisy. When teams hunt Alpi he's a bad defender but when teams hunt Jalen it's because the other guys are good. Which one is it?

You are claiming Sengun gets hunted but based on this he is the 3rd best defender after Amen and Tari. So why are teams even hunting him if he is the 3rd most elite defender on the team? I wasnt the one who said teams hunt Sengun it was you. I also never said getting hunted is an indication anyone is a bad defender, not on this team since most of the players here are elite defenders.
