CBS in Houston was supposed to show the Colts vs. Jaguars. However, on the CBS-HD channel, they've been showing the Titans vs. Vikings game, accidentally!!! Awesome!!! Now, they've switched to the Colts vs. Jaguars video feed (realizing their mistake), but we're still getting the Titans vs. Vikings audio feed!!! Leftwich goes back to pass, but I'm hearing about Chris Brown running!!! WTF??? And the Jags vs. Colts game isn't even in HD!!!! I'm freakin' pissed!
Man, I'm glad we get to see the Colts and Jags. Battle for first place in the AFC South. Manning vs. Leftwich. Good stuff. I'm just glad they're not showing the titans. Why would we want to watch the worst team in the AFC South?
WOA! Someone didn't pinch me. I thought my HD receiver had a glitch, as well, but I started to watch the LIONS in HD, and that made me even sad-der. WTF? Two people were talking at once. Then, the image was cut-off to the cheap 3:4 ratio for the Indy vs. Jax game. Weird. HD Widescreen, I'm spoiled. I see games in 4:3 and I cry that they show it in HD Widescreen. Freakin' world series... I hate the Cardinals in any format...
Don't automatically blame the affiliate.... There's a whole lot that goes into the HD channel, and it's not all at the affiliate's control. It goes from the network, to the regional division, through another satellite company and then to the affiliate. 9.8 times out of 10, it's beyond the individual affiliate's control...something just gets $#@&ed up along the way. Sometimes it is the fault of the kid back in master control, but normally he's on the phone to one of 4000 other people who could be at fault telling them to fix it. And please, if you call the station, be nice to the person who answers the phone. That person has absolutely no control over it and didn't cause it to happen. That person is there to find news, not run the satellites (and they will not transfer you to that person). If you are polite, that person will normally make a call back to master control. If you're not polite, they'll write down your phone number (they do have caller ID) and next time you call, they'll hang up on you. I had to deal with those calls for a looooooooong time. I was the queen of hitting the "end call" button.
