and Ron Vara, aka Peter Navarro, would have the world to believe that the US has the leverage, and the tariffs are not negotiable china has a global monopoly on the production of rare earth materials, which are integral parts of electronic devises (cell phone, TV, laptop, etc.). the US imports almost 78% of its rare-earth compounds and metals from China. China halts exports of critical rare material as Trump tariff war intensifies
The Chinese don't give a **** about the tariffs. They're testing the waters to see how strong Trump is in his policies. They're game planning to see what his reaction would be in the event of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan. They're exposing him in real time and realizing how utterly weak of a individual he is. The Chinese don't give a **** about pain. They'll go through a recession if it means getting what they want. Trump folded like a cheap lawn chair. If I'm XI I'm planning a invasion of Taiwan ASAP.
Right, except the invasion is already planned. Don't be deceived: Trump wants war. War powers to delay elections + New American Imperialism. Do you think the power hungry ever want to stop at one country? China knows this and also knows that the US Military is far, far superior to theirs.
i agree with you here texxx/mojo/jorge! but jumping in abruptly has been the hallmark of this administration. one of the many reasons its been such a s*** show.
An expected response from literally the dumbest so called lawyer in this forum. I know a dozen paralegals that can run circles around you. Trump is the man now and nothing you liberal biitches can do to change that. I heard that the Covid jab can help with TDS in an experimental study. Time for some more boosters? Lol
not the Civil war between the CCP and its Taiwan province. the civil war in Viet Nam did not delay election here in the US; neither did the Russian invasion of Ukraine
[CNBC] European Union approves first set of retaliatory tariffs on U.S. imports The European Commission, the bloc’s executive arm, said duties would start being collected from April 15. The response package was unveiled last month targeting a range of goods. The 27-nation EU had warned it would act to protect European business and consumers after U.S. President Donald Trump imposed 25% duties on steel and aluminum. “The EU considers US tariffs unjustified and damaging, causing economic harm to both sides, as well as the global economy. The EU has stated its clear preference to find negotiated outcomes with the US, which would be balanced and mutually beneficial,” the European Commission said.
I will not be shocked if China invades Taiwan, as a matter of fact I am waiting to see when the best move would be.............China doesn't seem to give 2 ***** about the tariffs although we all know it will hurt them, specifically the people who are in the same boat as we are (no rich, everyday Joe`s), if it means giving the finger to the US so be it. Neither one of these guys will pick up the phone first and if I had to make a guess, some lower levels would set up a call in which neither has to actually call, or they will simply do negotiations at a lower level and then take it to their boss Not taking our Beef is not good and then rare minerals is even worse ..................Ukraine and Greenland, were coming for your rare earth minerals.........oh but that means we would have to deal with Ukraine in a civilized manner and tell putin to back the **** off..........oh well my Ukraine friends, it was good while it lasted, welcome to the new USSR Comrade
Not one original or useful thought in here. Rambling incoherently about paralegals, Trump being the man, and Covid. That is some Noble prize winning analysis of trade, tariffs and negotiation strategy. We should frame this **** and hang it in the Louvre. Sorry, that’s rude. I think I went over your head with that one. The Louvre is a famous museum in Paris. Crap sorry, sorry, Paris is the capital of France, which is a country in Europe. Dammit, ok, last one, Europe is a continent on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. The one on the right.
MAGA cultists @El_Conquistador @strosb4bros claimed China was afraid of their orange messiah. What a utter embarrassment of their cult leader
I won't complain if it happens to Boeing (though it would suck for the employees). We used to have Boeing where I live but they closed that office years ago.
At this point, China doesn't give a rat's ass about the tariff, they are mobilizing the whole government like in a real war, all the diplomatic and commerce department staffs are on call 24/7, no time off. They are working on all international relations minus the US. They are prepare to just drop the 450 billion business with the US, will hurt in the short run, but give them a dry run practice for if/when they invade Taiwan in the future, sort of like a stress test. Frankly, they really like the chance to test themselves.
