You had high expectations for a meaningless game. Sounds like your logic took a night off.

Yes, it's hindsight. And I still think there's a decent chance the Warriors finish 6th. The Grizzlies have to play Minnesota and Denver on a B2B. The Warriors host the Clippers on Sunday. And Golden State holds the tiebreaker over Minnesota.

And BTW, even if the Warriors do wind up 7th, they actually have to win their play-in game to remain in that seed. If they lose, then they're competing for 8th.

Whoever the Rockets play in any round of the playoffs will be tough. This is the time when the best teams show up and the Rockets should expect that every possession and every play on both ends will be contested. The potential for a relatively inexperienced core to mess up is always present and that is what the coaches should prepare them for. The presence of veterans who won rings like FVV and Jeff, in addition to veteran players like DB and Adams can go a long way to give the team better chances. It is an exciting time and whoever comes their way will be in for some extremely hard-fought battles, and that would be worth it, at least this year. In the end, it doesn't matter who they play in the first or second round, if they get there. What the Rockets have shown, especially towards the end of the season, is that their destiny is really in their hands. When they play as they are capable of playing they can beat any team in the league. It is really up to them.

Jeff Green should get more minutes. He can clearly still ball but I guess he’s happy with his Patty Mills role

That totally discounts the refs. Unfortunately, the NBA is corrupt.

The reason Uncle Jeff plays well is because he plays so little. When his minutes are consistent, he starts running on fumes after ~3-4 straight games.

Considering what last night was, I actually enjoyed like 2/3 of the game lol. Sure, start of the 2nd half and end of the game were hard to watch because LAC were playing everyone wanted the win (and in their house), but our 2nd and 3rd units fought.

I kinda figured this could be a blowout from the beginning, but we kept coming back and giving them a little hell. It still ended up looking bad, but I'm proud of our guys who played.

What I learned from this game....our best three point shooters are buried on the bench. Jeff Green needs some minutes.

The Rockets have a really strong third team. Talented young players and vets that can contribute when needed.

i don't understand how the refs did not call a foul after what happened to Jaylen Wells the other night.

not only it's a dangerous play, it's a career threatening play. luckily cam was able to catch himself and somewhat break the fall.

make the call and force the coach to challenge if they believe it was clean. nobody's legs just give out like that unless they were hit.

it should have been a flagrant 1 on harden.

The rules should be changed. A foul call should NOT be required to review a possible flagrant.

Yeah if the rest of the games are like this I’ll wait til the playoffs to watch rockets basketball. It’s solid minutes for reed and cam though

Reed's 3 point shooting was very impressive. His jumper over Kawhi was playoff caliber level. This should give him a lot of confidence.

Ime must not keep Reed on the bench for significant periods of time in the playoffs.

Skag Thompson sounds way cooler than Heroin Klay...or maybe Klay Horse?

Definitely true, but I feel like corrupt is putting it mildly...a butcher who puts his thumb on the scale is corrupt, a slip-n-fall conman is corrupt...The NBA is...predicated on bullshittery? Intrinsically built of lies? Driven by "narrative" more than Perry Mason? Structured to shlurp and pander to the casual fan who can name 3 franchises on a good day? A 6 month slog of regular season games followed by scores of playoff games, all in the service of crowning a preordained champion who was determined the previous August, and fully FORTY-SEVEN percent of the time its a certain squad in gold or another in green?
Any of those, take yer pick......but.....everrry now and then, some unpredictable ish is miraculously allowed to break through/is so unstoppable that "the fix" being in just doesn't matter, and you get something NO ONE saw coming, and the good people of Twoston spontaneously take to the streets ( well, actually mostly just Richmond, which is only 1 street) in delirous and quite possibly inebriated rapture.......( who's feelin a run to commemorate the 30-year anniversary of Double Clutch City ( a.k.a hell froze over )?!? ?
