It's a bad time for him to turn back into his old self, hopefully he gets it going again when it matters
The step back jumpers... When he doesn't take those and focuses on shooting good shots he looks really good. When he starts taking the stepbacks I lose my confidence in him. The last two games he was playing with backups and we didn't have to see Sengun's play disrupting Jalen's greatness. (right?) But today was a game with starters and the results were the same. I hate to see how Sengun and Amen's lack of spacing hurt Jalen's offense.
Other players force Jalen to take difficult, out of rhythm, stepback jumpers. Don't worry though, Jalen is still 18.
As bad as they were, forget the last 3 games for Jalen. If he plays great against the Warriors, we won't even remember them. On the other hand, if he shoots 40/30 for the series, stinks it up and the Rockets lose, he's probably gone. Several other players will also be under the microscope. It's gonna be fun.
I agree. I think this is now the "see what we've got" moment, and it's sink or swim for at least the 1st 4 of the "core 7." There's no point keeping anybody who disappears in the playoffs, we don't need to live that **** ever again.
