    In no particular order....

    1. Reece Gaines has been a disappointment so far. He doesn't run the point well, does not handle the ball well, and can't seem to knock down an outside shot. He was horrible tonight. I don't really see him as an NBA caliber player. He doesn't seem to excel at anything so far.

    2. Boki was Boki and that's not good. He pissed away a golden opportunity tonight. I just don't see the guy as an NBA player at all. He plays hard and can run the court well but doesn't bring much else to the game when he plays. Major disappointment. I expected much more from him.

    3. Lue looks like a WNBA player. Seriously. The guy looks like an ugly woman. He's quick but doesn't get into the offense much faster than Francis did last year. I like him as a change of pace though. He's a nice backup.

    4. We NEED another 2/3 in a bad way.

    5. I don't see any of the rookies making the team. Zimmerman is the only one I think might be of any help at all, but there is no way he makes the team. Hawkins probably played his way off the team tonight. I would like to see him get a shot because I like his potential more than any of the others, but it's not going to happen.

    In summary....

I'm very concerned about the depth of this team!

well you tell me does this deserve a new thread even though it could go in the game thread or the thread about roster depth or various other threads that concerns this topic. What's the use of bringing it up again in the new thread.

oh by the way, great response

Stop being such an A-hole about it, Hoang. Christ!

This isn't about a single game, it's about the whole preseason so far. Maybe next time I'll e-mail you first to make sure it's OK to post on here. Would that make you feel better?

If you don't like the post, stop reading it you freaking crybaby!

lol, people here take things so seriously

whatever its cool, i don't care, i just thought i'd clean up the threads here, that's all.

and yes, i feel that our depth is questionable, almost laker-like in the kobe/shaq days. But when t-mac and yao and JJ are gonna play the majority of the minutes...a bench will only be there for so much. Although i hope boki does come and show up and that would be a lift for the bench depth.

my bad for being such an"A-hole"

I agree with you on Nachbar....I've had enough.

Everybody hopes that Boki will live up to their expectations, but people should just accept the fact he sucks.

I've had enough of the excessive "I love Boki." It's just plain obnoxious. Down with Wackbar.

We do not need anymore 2/3 bad more than we need Yao to start dominating and stop p***y footing.

We can go only as far Yao and TMac can take us. We already know what Tracy can do. IMO, Yao should only play second fiddle to Shaq and nobody else. I don't to see him during the regular season playing like just another guy - that is totally unacceptable.

In terms of personel our team is as good as it gets. But the actors in this show must elevate their games to meet this occasion especially the lead actors.

Yao should start treating the post and painted area asa his birth right and his prized real estate - he has to make people to start better recognizing who their daddy or papi is.

    For real...

    I agree with #3.
Hmm...I think we're fine. Orlando looked pretty athletic. Who is there to sign? I think we're still a great team.

Me too, I also feel that i'm nearing to the end of appreciating boki. If we're still about to make a trade, I'll look for a deal in exchange of Mo,Boki and Gaines...

Taylor will not be traded...anytime soon! For a team that struggled to score last year, Houston needs Taylor's offense off the bench. Furthermore, Taylor is Houston's strongest interior player.

Find another tailor for your alterations.

Taylor will not be traded, because nobody wants to take on his remaining contract.

dont forget we still got bob sura as a backup, and at the 3, wen jj's on the bench we can move tmac over to the 3 and bob at the 2, id still like to see us make a deal taking away either lue or ward and 1 of the 3 pfs inorder to get a pg somewhere around the caliber of a damon jones, banks, some solid pg who we can get think realistcly

It is really up to Boki, MoT and Lue to step in and fill in the void as back up players. Just wait til' the regular season starts.

I think this game was an aberation for Yao. He didn't know how to play his old team mates. I swear I saw him back off SF when he was driving for a layup. It's just his nature I guess.

Stick a fork in Notbar. He's done.

Gaines and Hawkins missed good opportunities to show us. JVG will have to do what he has to do.

    Bowen will stick probably.

Motumbo, Howard and Taylor are our frontline with Yao. I don't know about Spoon. He used to kill the Rockets when we played him. If he isn't done in I wish he get it together.

The others played about as expected. I just don't think we have all the parts together yet and I'm thinking the Rox won't be a top tier team this year.

Assuming they suck who woukld trade anything for them?

Mo's problem is his contract (and rebounding skillz [sic]).
Boli should be 'picked up' -- as use for trade bait, in the very least.
Give RG a year to mature. Third year break out, or break him off then.

spoon is over weight. maybe if he lost like 50 lbs he could be a decent player.
