Lets be real, most female sports can't hold a candle to men's sports that are several rungs below (mens high school varsity players can probably beat most WNBA players)

Clark Holding her own though, this looks pretty ridiculous..and against mens NCAA players

CC can shoot, but she's playing against intramural rec players. look how fat that center is. CC looks physically stronger than the men she is playing against. this is not serious. I saw KPJ's ex girlfriend hooping against real ninjas.

I'm just saying this is not a flex when I already expect more out of good WNBA players.

if this was the Iowa men’s team that would be 1 thing, but this is just random dudes who happen to go to Iowa

    those aren’t NCAA players

most WNBA players would cook them, they are very skilled

I saw a video a few years ago of WNBA players vs. high school boys basketball players and it was a massacre (by the boys).

Yeah the issue is that it's the practice squad. It is a D1 school though so they're probably not total ass, just not as impressive as if she did it against the real team.

I think she could still hit some wide open shots even in the NBA, the issue is every other part of the game. She wouldn't be able to create offense 1-on-1 like she does in the WNBA, and how is she going to even attempt to play defense? She only weighs 152 pounds, and pound-for-pound she's getting less strength and athleticism out of her mass than a man of the same weight. She would be by far the least-athletic, physically-weakest player in the league. If you thought Trae Young was a liability...

All of that said, she's still an incredible player with great skills.

that doesn’t tell me the quality of the high school guys…They played high school, I’m assuming seniors, with D1 offers or they played some random high school from the local suburb?

Good point. Looked like they were from some random high school in a suburb. I'll get right to it: IIRC, it was all white guys who were not extremely tall. Like from a rural out-of-the-way place in Indiana.

Well, those are definitely some unconventional postures and shot-making mechanics. That leg-flaring-around shot should be patented.

Anyone who can make shots like that consistently is better than most men’s college basketball players. (Have y’all seen this year’s NCAA tournament?)

This reminds me of that one time some genius in the Lithuanian basketball federation came up with an idea of a televised basketball match between the women's senior national team and the national boys 16 and under team.

I like women's pro Tennis and women's beach volleyball more than mens.
One day I will learn the rules of those sports.

It's pretty cool that the Sabrina 1s Nikes are extremely popular with the guy hoopers.

Back in the day, I played pickup ball in a college gym against a couple of WNBA players (no one famous I don't think). The guys who were playing, like me, were the type who were good high school players but not quite good enough to play D1. The WNBA players, while fundamentally sound, just were a notch lower than the guys simply because we were stronger, especially in the upper body, and therefore could do more with the ball like shoot further, get our shots off more quickly, handle the ball better, get rebounds more easily, etc. I remember one of them thought she would be better than me because I did not look like a basketball player but I schooled her. Just a fact. Just like if I were to go up against an average D1 men's player who is 6'6 and 225 lbs, I just would not be able to hang physically. Also, remember that women play with a significantly smaller and lighter ball. It makes all the difference in the world. It's fine to appreciate women's athletic accomplishments but when people exaggerate those accomplishments to the point that it is not credible, then it actually diminishes the accomplishments.

IMO, women's basketball is basically another sport because it's played so differently. My favorite is the NBA. College men's bball is a distant second. Beyond those, there is no other basketball I care to watch unless circumstances are special.

Way way back when I was a huge tennis fan, I loved women's tennis just as much as men's.

...if it was the Iowa football team they might have been able to score more than 15 points in a game for a change
