We all know Trump will declare that he negotiated great deals and obtained massive concessions from various countries. Let’s try to guess some of them.

    1. I’m sure there will be multiple “agreements” regarding fentanyl. Like China has promised to inspect its ships to make sure there isn’t any fentanyl on them.

    2. there will definitely be “agreements” on illegal immigration. Like China has agreed it will stop sending us Mexicans and take immediate steps to prevent Chinese people from immigrating across the Rio grande.

    3. There will definitely be cryptic “agreements” under which [insert name of country] will no longer be “ripping us off”, like they have for decades.

I’ll think on this some more, but I’m sure we can fill the Trump tariff agreement bingo card with some pretty solid guesses on the great “agreements” that he will negotiate as the master of the deal.

I'd also imagine more claims about trillions of dollars of investments coming in also.

But this is why no country is going make long term investments based upon his tariffs. Nobody knows what he's going to do tomorrow. Why would any company invest billions of dollars without knowing what the policy will be tomorrow? It makes no sense

Can you imagine how thrilled the Chinese truly are. Trump has been utterly embarrassed and the CCP knows there's not a chance in hell he would defend Taiwan. He folded like a cheap lawn chair the minute the markets turned and the CCP know he'd never take the hit defending Taiwan.

If I'm XI I'm rushing to invade Taiwan ASAP

I understand most people will vote the same party every election regardless. That being said it's incredibly frustrating to see smart conservatives defend this trade war stupidity

The whole Trump phenomenon is equally frustrating but it's totally understandable. He has reinvigorated the Republican party. Republicans understand the messaging battle above all things. You can't do anything without winning elections

Trump has preyed upon people who's lives had very little meaning before he came. He's given people meaning and made them feel like they're part of a bigger cause. If you ever study the psychology behind cults it all makes sense.

Its genuinely sad bcz I don't think MAGA are bad people. They've just been brainwashed by people who look to take advantage of them. Its sincerely sad

    Don’t think they’re bad people?

there’s a reason they allowed themselves to be brainwashed so easily…Trump allowed them to and made them feel at ease bringing their racism, hatred, and bigotry out in the open again…they also don’t give a damn about others and find glee in those they hate getting hurt…a small percentage of them are only now crying because Trump’s idiocy has affected them

these aren’t helpless, innocent souls that are just being taken advantage of and led astray

A lot of the anti-Trump conservatives (who have been totally marginalized) are respectable people.

it is only 3 days after Trump had back-pedaled to a 90-day pause, his team has already secretly exempted cell phones / other electronic devices from the tariffs.

    more exemptions/back-pedalings are expected!

I can always extend sympathy to a working class white dude too busy to be a political junkie who is merely misinformed through the content that is put in front of him rather than being motivated by hate. There are plenty of people who voted for Trump who fit that mold.

A lot of times low information voters are just people too busy with their jobs and raising kids and that's why they are "low information".

I was talking about political-types, not voters, lol.

You condescension is duly noted, though.
