I prefer that 4th scenario where the Warriors beat the Clippers and the Rockets beat the Nuggets. Then we either get Denver or Memphis in the first round while the Lakers and Warriors have to face off and one of them is guaranteed to go home early.
It would be funny if Ime decides the team need a final tune up before the playoffs just to fk with the nugggets. but i think he's gonna let them rest
icymi: GSW is playing LAC in last game, so but I agree with @J.R. , we want Memphis winning the playin. Still as good a possibility as any.
So assuming the Wolves don’t mess up and win their final match vs. Jazz, they are safe from play-in? That’s really good news imo. Ant is not the guy you want to face with in the playoffs, especially not in the 1st round when he’s got his energy. I think that my 1st round preferences are as follows: Grizzlies Clippers Warriors Wolves Nuggets
If the Kings "Big 3" (if you want to call it that) get hot I wouldn't count them out just yet. Winning the play-in isn't guaranteed. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. I don't want the team with the most experience in the first round.
If i have to choose between Clippers and Warriors, i'd want to play the Clippers in first round. but if i were the Clippers, wining Sunday means play the Nuggets in first round, losing Sunday means play the Rockets in first round... i'd like the Rockets
Memphis still has a legit chance to win the playin, too, and get 7th seed. They can rest on Sunday, for instance, while GSW/LAC beat themselves up …
There are three very clear bottom lines based on Sunday outcomes assuming the T-Wolves beat the Jazz: If the Warriors beat the Clippers, they finish #6 and face the Lakers in the 1st round. If the Warriors lose to the Clippers, they host the Grizzlies in the #7 vs. #8 game. If the Nuggets beat the Rockets, they finish #4 and will host the Clippers or T-Wolves. Other outcomes: If the Clippers beat the Warriors, they finish either #4 or #5 T-Wolves avoid the play-in just by beat the Jazz. Could finish #4, #5 or #6. Grizzlies are stuck at #8 no matter what. None of the other outcomes is a straight line.
I will take the Warriors over Clippers easily, but it shouldn’t have been an issue and we never should’ve rested vs. them. Both these losses could come back to bite us in the ass as no way we beat the Lakers in the WCSF and if we face the Clippers, no way we make it past the 1st round.
You tend to be overly dramatic and overreact to things. “If we play the Clippers, no way we make it past the 1st round”. What ridiculous nonsense
Between the Clippers, Warriors, Nuggets, none of those are easy outs and each team has championship experience. You're getting on each of those teams guys with championships, guys whose been in the finals, guys who play in playoff games every single year. I agree our best bet is hoping Memphis beats whoever falls into 7th. Just hope they play a really good game and end up at 7th and send one of those teams to OKC.
This is an entirely different Rockets team. Curry has nightmares about facing Amen again. They're old and slow now. Rockets will run them out of the gym.
best case scenario would be Memphis for sure. We match-up well against them, especially now with Wells injured (tough break for that guy, he looked great against us).
Nothing would be sweater than GSW losing twice in the playin. except for us knocking them out … but man, I’m just so tired of watching them play in the playoffs … please give us something new
