Your phrasing is a bit weird about the play-in team. I don't see Grizzlies as the weakest of the four. Its winner of Wolves / Grizzlies gets to face us. Winner of Kings/ Mavs vs loser Wolves / Grizzlies whoever wins get to face the thunders. The weakest team out of the 4 would already b out of playoffs
I don't check in here very often, but I just want to say: I can't believe we're going to be the 2 seed in the Western Conference. I can't believe we have a defense like this -- I want to say "again," but it's different even than the scrappy JVG defenses or the Hakeem-and-Max-based defenses. It really starts with amazing wings and communication and I just love it.
Maybe it's the biggest fake out in NBA history, but I seriously doubt it. No need for them to rile up the league office.
Weakest of the 2 survivors You think the Grizzlies beat the Wolves? You think either the Kings or Mavs beat the Grizzlies? Rocket River
I saw where Nick Wright and Chris BroooooSard was saying that the Lakers should sit them . . .to get in the Thunder's heads Not allow the Thunder to get thie hit back . . not allow them to gain a"confidence boosting" win I get it . . .. . a win again the Half Lakers won't erase the loss they just took Rocket River
I think the Lakers are conceding that they can't win 4 in a row to end the season and rather would get to the playoffs healthy. You don't want Bron's groin issues to flair up and you don't want Fat Luka to get some leg injury. I think conceding to be the 3rd seed is a win in their books, although they could still fall further. With Memphis and Denver going down in flames, their odds are favorable to be able to get to the 2nd round at least.
Exactly. GM too. "I mean, 2023 NBA Championship brought to Denver, Colorado, sure... but hey, you just lost four in a row!"
Can you imagine him advising us? LOL that would be so funny and a big FU to the rest of the Western conference, to say nothing of his idiotic now-former employers.
You called it. First Take had an entire segment on why Lakers would punt this game earlier today. Lakers starters will play.
https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/st...oom-lakers-warriors-grizzlies-postseason-runs 'Going to hate it': Why the Rockets won't be any easy matchup The Rockets have been one of the remarkable stories of the year, riding a physical defense and depth to a surprising No. 2 seed after a spectacular run in the second half of the season. "Ime [Udoka] has done the best job, people in the media should have the guts to vote for him for Coach of the Year," an Eastern Conference scout said. "Whoever plays against them is going to hate it." With so many experienced and star-laden teams sitting behind them in the West standings -- and with the Thunder sitting above them on the other side of the bracket -- facing Houston either in the first or second round could be viewed as a favorable outcome. But for a young team like the Rockets, going through that process will be a great learning experience and a true test of what this group is capable of moving forward. "They're a fascinating team," a scout said. "They go through such lulls offensively, and they need someone who can consistently score for them. They've made a good environment for Jalen Green to succeed, but they're OK. I'm intrigued to see how they'll do in the playoffs. I like them, I don't love them."
