I ended up making more purchases at the bottom, but I still paid $19 for a hamburger. Our economy and economic system are ****ed.

Time to rant.

My home value is up, so my property tax rates are up. But so are mortgage rates. My insurance premiums popped up 40% from last year. My grocery bill is up. Take out is up a few more bucks for each entree from last year. My HDHP premium is up. It costs more to do the same things I did this time last year, but I don't see any of the value from it.

So when Trump and his braindead zealots push economic policies that make my investments go down, and make the cost of everything else I am buying go up by 10+% because his economic advisor has a hard on against China, I get pissed. The president and congress have little effect on the economy in regular times. But the president acting like a dictator using 9/11 powers to enact diffuse taxes and making trade with China impossible is not regular times.

The economy is ****ed and you true believers are all the ones who are going to take the blame. Minorities, transgendered people, and the poor didn't kill this economy, MAGA did.

I have watched dozens of friends get fired from the health agency jobs in DC, watched friends lose their grants and have to fire their researchers, and even watched people dedicated to helping underserved minorities succeed be sacrificed to get the MAGA gestapo to stop their investigations.

This is all ****ed up.

 

When the energy market crashes what do you think happens to all the Houston boys who bought overpriced trucks and can no longer afford their car notes.

 

This is all the result of Biden running $2+ trillion dollar annual budget deficits and having to increase the USD (money) in circulation by 60% since 2021. Inflation was the predictable result. It's literally why Trump was elected. And Trump has brought inflation down nicely.

AND YET we are already on track to add $1.3 trillion for the first half to the debt and the finance rates for that debt are rising because we ****ing spooked our allies.

Trump succeeded because he identified that everything's ****ed, but his actions are just to implode the whole thing.

BUT HERE IS THE KICKER, because your party is too cowardly to stand up to this affront, I have zero faith they will retake the reigns given that the Constitution gives Congress the authority to make taxes and budgets, not the President. And given the complete disregard with the rule of law by this White House, the courts aren't going to be saving the day either.

 

50 countries have reached out to the Trump Administration to lower their tariffs on American goods. None of this would have happened without Trump's actions. Short term pain for very real, sustainable, long term gains for American workers. It's working.
