Yes, I have been to China numerous times - as long as a month several times. First, it is a massive country and varies a great deal. Is it better than the USA? Absolutely not - but it does have some cool parts and is nice to visit. The Chinese like to hide their problems and faults, they find them shameful and the USA likes to air all of it's dirty laundry. I have several very good friends in China - and a girl that I would likely have married had I not been with my wife. I don't want to go too far down the rabbit hole, but I would put China behind the USA, Canada, Western Europe, Northern Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and Israel. I base that on many different factors - and some of those are just my own personal preferences and some are on objective things that I have seen. I would not have surgery in China for example, and would not want to deal with the level of paranoia I witnessed - nor the level of racism and sexism. That isn't to say that it doesn't exist elsewhere - it does, but it was bad there.
been to china when i was little. i remember seeing pandas in chengdu and went to one of the red cliff warlord's grave town. also bought a starbux mug from there. went to this place where you pass like a 20 mile bridge over the ocean with random mountain cliffs on each side floating from the waters, very cool. apparently we went to famous places that i was too small to understand. also the beijing airport security took my powerbank.
China is a morally corrupt fascist piece of **** country that makes up for its lack of ingenuity by trying replicate and copy everything American don’t forget that this disgusting country and its inhumane treatment of animals helped kickstart the greatest pandemic in modern history The only reason someone should want to go there is to calculate the % of rat meat they use as filler for their beef and poultry
Jimi Hendrix had a complex and evolving perspective on China, particularly in relation to the Vietnam War. While some interpret his "Star Spangled Banner" performance as anti-war, according to the Jimi Hendrix website, Hendrix actually expressed pro-war sentiments, including a belief that the U.S. needed to subdue Chinese Communism.
Clearly I'm being facetious about the current US government having the same impact as the Tiananmen Square incident, it's more a joke on how our current government wants to crack down on dissension. Saying anymore than that risks true D&D material, and I always steer away from that cesspool. However, if you're truly curious, a quick Google link will give you a summary of the event. Here is one that popped right up for me. https://history.state.gov/milestones/1989-1992/tiananmen-square#:~:text=The Chinese leadership imposed martial,of the numbers killed vary. Feel free to research the event to your heart's content, an event in history that encapsulates how the Chinese government truly acts.
Went to beijing, and some smaller cities. it is pretty nice. Good public transport. Cheap compared to america. Felt safe.
