Well, Clutch and I got our first up-close look at Enron Field along with the legendary heypartner on Saturday and it was awesome despite the loss. We got the chance to sit in the Crawford Boxes in left field and missed Richard Hidalgo's home run ball by about 6 seats and 1 row! Another double by Hidalgo just missed being a home run and was headed straight for us. Enron Field is nothing short of spectacular. It was easy in, easy out, a great view and seats VERY close to the field. A good time was had by all! I couldn't help marvel at how cool it was to walk through downtown to get to the game. Heypartner even remarked that it was like visiting another city. He's definitely right. Below is a shot of Enron Field from our 6th row Crawford Boxes seats I took with my little digital camera. Enjoy! ------------------ "No one gets out ALIVE!" SaveOurRockets.com [This message has been edited by Jeff (edited May 13, 2000).]
I hear ya. I love the place. Been twice already and was there Friday night. Took my folks and sat behind home plate, 25 rows up. It was awesome, except for the final score! ------------------ Bring It!! [This message has been edited by RocketMan Tex (edited May 15, 2000).]
What did you think of the odd little details, like the train, "Duffy's cliff" and the flagpole? I can't wait to go. ------------------ Stay Cool...
All the details really make the difference. What really impressed me was the layout. Our seats were really close to the field but about equally close to an exit! Also, with the layout, you can see just oceans of people in every direction. It was really awesome. ------------------ "No one gets out ALIVE!" SaveOurRockets.com
Glad to hear that you enjoyed it Jeff. I had a heck of a time when I went. The game was exciting (Astros came back after being down by 6 runs; Cami hit a Grand Slam!)and the seats are great. It's a different atmosphere in downtown these days, the icing on the cake would be a new Rockets arena right next to Enron. ------------------ www.rocketzone.web.com
