I heard Caserio say he typically looks at a two year window when planning. I'm sure he adjusts by case, but it is consistent with his FA and Trade control moves.

What we're hearing about the Texans' draft: Yeah, the offseason retooling of the offensive line will continue into the draft. The Texans have four picks in the top 90, and expect at least one of those to be a bodyguard for quarterback C.J. Stroud. We've heard from numerous scouts that Houston is high on offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. (Texas) if he makes it to No. 25. Getting another pass-catching option for Stroud is in play early, too. -- Miller

Just two more weeks. We're in silly season.

It appears the national coverage ignores the plan and thinks we're desperate for OL help to the point we'd give up silly draft capital to move up in the top 10 of the 1st round. I simply don't believe this is any more than LAZINESS on their part mixed in with delusions of a HAUL for their favorite team.

Unless they're providing more information than is made public, Simmons has to come with a significant risk discount. I wouldn't risk a 1st on his recovery with what is publicly available. But just like Dell, not only is recovery a matter of when he's getting back on the field, it's about whether he gets back elite performance because of the nature of the injuries.

With Dell, we hope for the best and plan for the worst. With a draftee, it factors into the draft position.

Most recent Nick appearance, "We can look more at best players available more than the actual position of the player."

I agree - to a point. For example, I think we take a good receiver even though a higher-graded safety is available.

Maybe it's just 2025 draft fatigue, but this class feels underwhelming when it comes to first-round talent.

Well, it does sound better than being arrested for an outstanding warrant on sexual assault.

'...The big thing is he doesn’t block through the whistle. Tough to coach that up. Was an issue in ‘22 & ‘23, not just ‘24 when he was playing through injury'

Does not sound swarm-like to me.
