They need someone to blame to distract the masses while they loot the system and remove all of the safeguards.

It is easy to rule when you can blame all errors on another group of people.

Slowness has a price. It's counted in the 10s or 100s thousands of deaths which result under your "slow plan."

Do you realize how much innocent blood you just called for?

If your suggested "slow plan" is even viable at all - you've just listed a bunch of pie in the sky - and to which there is no obvious analogue case study country - but even so - what about the "price" of 4000 dead people every year for decades that was almost immediately reduced to 80? How much blood is worth the too fast/reckless/wrongful detainment of a few thousand people? How much rape is worth that? How much kidnapping and extortion?

And you know, there's a high chance the slow plan doesn't work at all and El Salvador is sitting in the same or similar spot in 2057 to what it was in 2017.

But, of course, you're the "good guy" here. You're just going to let untold thousands be murdered, extorted, raped etc etc on the hope El Salvador MIGHT turn it around in 50 years but hey, at least everyone got "due process" - so, that's swell.

Your theory is no longer just talk - it's playing out on the ground now, with the administration taking real action. Yet you're still avoiding taking a position. It's not a hard question to answer.

Lol and you say I moralize.

I didn't call for anything. You brought up El Salvador and I said I'm not a fan but its their sovereign decision to make, so far as they have any latitude left to make decisions. But if you want to bring that fascism to the US (or my other country, France), I'll fight it.

Stop side-stepping. Address the main point.

You would prefer to see El Salvador remain in 2017 where it was the murder capital of the world and 4,000 people were murdered every year, the country was lawless, sexual violence and extortion were common etc etc vs. 2025 El Salvador which is the safest country in the Western Hemisphere?

Are you just completely full of it? As if anyone is suppose to believe that?

Your countries already have it. Ever heard of martial law? Ever heard of Abraham Lincoln?

When situations arise that normal judicial systems and processes cannot adequately handle countries allow their governments to suspend certain liberties to remedy those situations. They have done it plenty of times.

In FY23, CBP recorded more than 2.4 million encounters at the Southwest border and more than 3.2 million encounters nationwide. Just this fiscal year, 169 individuals on the terrorist watchlist were apprehended attempting to enter the country illegally, and at least 1.7 million known gotaways have evaded apprehension since FY2021.

This county has an estimated 11 million people living here illegally.

Does anyone think normal judicial systems and processes can address this situation? Your solution? Do nothing. Let everyone go. Open borders. Ignore the law. You love ignoring the law when it suits you and it suits you fine because you think those figures represent future Democratic voters.

However, if I were to suggest suspensions of some due process to address this situation suddenly my "ignoring of the law" is bad... amazing how that works isn't it?

Now you're just assuming things about what I think and it's a bore.

That maybe what you're doing because you're disingenuous and never converse in good faith at any point.

What I'm doing is pointing out there are times in history and in the present where ordinary judicial processes and systems cannot adequately address events and governments use extraordinary remedies to address those events.

Well I'm sure you'd love to duck out because your positions are illogical and unsupportable.

You would prefer to see a country run by gangs, 4,000 a year murdered, rampant extortion and sexual violence than a few thousand gang bangers wrongfully detained.

Which is nuts to anyone with an ounce of common sense.

Funny how quickly we moved away from the conversation about "price" you brought up. You wanted to talk about a price. Let's about the price JuanValdez.

Two recent Supreme Court rulings essentially restore due process…. for now.

The administration must facilitate the return of a wrongly deported man.

The administration may continue to deport under the wartime law, but only with due process.

I seem to recall posters like @strosb4bros @Salvy and others being so upset at the libs for caring about due process. I guess we can’t just snatch and deport all the brown people. What a disappointing development for them.

What type of gang member is a sheet metal apprentice? I don't mind them deporting illegal immigrants but they need to stop half-assing it and do it correctly with due process and all.

This is the core issue with America. Half the country lives in some echo chamber where they get reinforced their shitty views 24/7 regardless if it's true or not.

Where did Hilary push for deportations without due process? Doesn't matter cuz you braindead cultists dont care about the truth. Your favorite influencer posts something and you losers blindly accept it as fact

Trump exempting farm workers and hotel workers from illegal employment is chef's kiss.
