Them getting knocked out in the play-in and the Lakers getting knocked out in the first round are both possible and would be the ideal scenario for us. All of these teams are very close together in the standings and in talent level, it's going to come down to matchups and who gets hot.

They have a 40% chance of playing a play-in game as the 7th seed. Assuming homefield advantage in play in game has a 55% chance of winning, it is closer to 30% (40% *55% +19%*45%).

per basketball-reference, they have a 31.3% chance of being the 7th seed at the end of the regular season and a 27.4% chance of being the 7th seed in the playoffs.

    Prediction:
Warriors will finish at 6 to face the Lakers in the 1st round
T-Wolves will finish 7th and play us
Grizzlies/Kings will play it out for final 8th spot vs Thunder

Yep, so we really shouldn't worry too much about it. GSW can DEFINITELY lose to Minny or Memphis or Denver or LAC, especially if they don't have home court.

Could they lose to Sacremento as well in the 2nd play-in game? Yes. Not likely, they would be favored for sure, but Sabonis could dominate a game or Monk has random games where he looks like prime Kobe, it can happen.

They could also win out, get the 6th seed, and end up playing the Lakers in the first round too.

I could care less who we face. I know Ime and the boys are not saying oh I hope we don’t get this team or that team. OKC is the team to beat. Doesn’t matter. Alpi is already in everyone’s ear. “You hear that everyone seeded 3-8 wants to face us, let’s kill them and dominate” Turkish mamba mindset..Amen

I literally don't care who we play. To me, winning 50+ games and making the playoffs as a 2nd seed has put us beyond expectations for this season already. And I would be kind of amped to play the Warriors, because while it's not a guaranteed win by any means, wouldn't it be poetic justice to be the team that put the final nail in Steph and Draymond's coffin after all the misery they've caused us? And if we lose, so what? We're a young team on the upswing. They are a veteran laden team with one of the greatest players in NBA history. The experience will be invaluable either way.

Bring on the challenge. To be the best you have to beat the best. You have to slay the dragon. The Warriors are our dragon and damnit, it's time to defeat them!

Yep, and this game may be a preview of the play-in game between the 7 and 8 seeds, unless the Warriors lose to the Clips on Sunday. Looks like either Minnesota or Golden State for us.

Meh. Whatever. It’s tbd whether we screwed ourselves or not.

If we had played all of our guys in a meaningless Clippers game and somebody got hurt, then we really would’ve screwed ourselves.
