The way he squishes his ears down with his hat is fireable by itself.

Former Astros we could bring on

Ausmus - now has some seasoning

Bagwell - wildcard , but is smart deep down

Brantley - from uncle dusty to Uncle Mike .

Grienke - he night hate it , maybe he can manage from his couch .

    Yuli - cuban uncle

Jason Castro - could not be worse than espada

Those are all terrible ideas. Probably none worse than Espada.
    I’d go with Morgan Ensberg

Biggio would be an interesting dude. Players would probably hate him by the end of the year.

Last year as a “playoff team” sure, a bit weird but this year not so much and THAT is what I found odd. With JC knowing (let’s be honest now) that they had little to no chance to get Tucker and Bregman back for what they’d like to spend I would’ve thought they’d look for a steady veteran hand knowing that most likely a rebuild (soft or a blow it up) was in line and a few down years were coming but no it’s a pure rookie manager they chose. I wanted JE to do well but this far along and he’s still “deer in the headlights” managing…..

    Honorable mention: Mark DeRosa.

IIRC, I think @Nook mentioned Astros had some interest couple years back. To what extent, I don't know.

Regardless, we need someone who is smart, an elite communicator, and will demand respect from the players.

So.. (lookin back) earlier comments dating back to last year, a couple posters included the race of Dusty in a fanboy support-my-people way. That turned turned into others making a position of "ALL Talk of Dusty is INVALID". Because inclusion of race forever "taints all objectivity" about Dusty. (If not being "reverse racism". Making it about a broader social stance).

But really, it was using that "race = invalid" position to win the debate of Dusty being terrible. Closing the case from any more talk on it to lock in the W. (With those race includers just being a couple anomalies to the "Dusty" thing anyway)

In the end, its Dusty's delicious dark coaching over Asspada. Because he was (is) the better coach. Objectively. (Which still isnt a compliment of Dusty, its a statement of Espada's ineptitude)

Then MLB Centrals ratings would tank. RoFlo and Lauren cant carry that show on their own.

Dusty was horrible, Espada is worse. I never get too upset with early season issues with the batting or pitching, but it is painfully obvious to me from last year and the start of this year that Espada has no clue. I would really like the team to just give the RF job to Dicenzo or Cam and send the other one down for more seasoning. If Rogers sh*ts the bed, release him and bring the other back up. Dubon should be a utility player and get very few if any starts. If you have to get McCormick bats platoon him and Myers, but it would be better to trade one or the other. I don’t know the replacement for Espada, but something needs to be done and soon.

Agreed Dusty's better than Espada, with that said there's a reason he only has won only one championship in 30 years of managing despite having some stacked teams.

This is a playoff team dude. We have the 2nd best odds to win the AL. Nothing in the first 12 games should have changed that in anyone's mind- if it has you are doing it wrong. Unless you think Yainer and Yordan and Walker are going to continue to combine to have an OPS under 1.000 when Yordan might get there all by himself.
