Reed just needs more time on the floor (and time in the weight room). There’s still a lot of things about his game that really frustrate me; mainly the fact that he continues to stand around when he doesn’t have the ball. He doesn’t move without the ball. Maybe the coaches want him in position to launch quick 3’s? But I’m excited for next season’s sophomore breakout. The shooting is starting to translate.
Sell high. Just kidding. I think he can be a bench contributor next year. He would have earned major minutes on non playoff teams had he been selected elsewhere or if Holliday didn't play pretty well.
I know we bring Bari off the bench but Cam really fits the role of our 6th man. For a number of reasons that may not happen but Reed COULD fit that role. With a 2nd team he is a wheeling and dealing type of player that when he is active in the offense is very aggressive.
Watching today’s game, I think it’s safe to trade Cam if the asking price is right. Reed was basically the number one target for the Clippers to shutdown on their plan.
This dude should be a starter. He would be averaging 20+ points a game and possibly 5+ 3’s and dimes a game.
Sheppard needs to move off the ball more—like Curry. The team also has to set off-ball screens for him so he can get open and knock down threes. Right now, he’s just parked in the corner when he doesn’t have the ball. Udoka’s got to fix that.
Starting to think the coaches are telling him to park it because this has been a glaring problem all season, with no improvement. It’s so blatant. Frustrating as hell.
It's a tragedy that the guy who struggles to hold his own on defense was drafted by a team with a defense-minded coach. Imagine if he'd been picked by the Wizards!
If I recall, people were also complaining about this with Jalen, Jabari, Amen, etc. - that the coaches just have them parked outside to jack up a shot as a safety valve of sorts. Maybe this is just part of the learning process.
Bruh Reed is the top 3 pick he should be playing well after a season of scoring only 4 pts on 31% 3 pt. Good performance for him is an expectation, just like with Amen, Jalen and Jabari. You want me to retroactively tag you for every bad game Reed had before? Stop acting like such a clown.
Criminal that he wasn’t given the playing time to work through rookie mistakes. 20 minutes a game as the backup PG and starting while FVV was out, and he’s ROY. But most importantly he would have been ready to takeover PG duties next year. Now? It’s unclear.
