https://www.nba.com/stats/players/ball-handler?dir=D&sort=POSS Sort by amount of possessions and you see Jalen Green with his most common offensive possession type we utilize for him (pnr ball handler) and you see some shocking results. Jalen Green is equal or better at high volume pnr possession efficiency than dudes you'd assume instinctively are much better. He has a higher PPP than Trae Young and just a bit lower than Luka for example, two dudes who also have pnr ball handler as a large part of their possessions frequency. Green as someone drafted as a shooting guard is developing into a damn good pnr ball handler. His turnover rate on these possessions are on par or better than dudes you think have significantly better ball security like Trae. Also Jalen Green this season eclipsed FVV in efficiency and volume of these possessions. Last season Fred was a more efficient pnr ball handler. The coaching staff knows this and hence you are seeing over the past month Fred diminishing his pnr ball handler possessions and Green eating those possessions up.
I disagree. Jalen's not the kind of player who can just flip a switch and be consistent. If he and the team feel he needs to keep playing to maintain his rhythm as much as possible going into the playoffs then give him 40 minutes and let him cook then see what he can do distributing to a few young players who are dying to prove they're buckets.
Too risky. I'd rather risk him being rested and inconsistent, than tired and consistent! This is his first Playoff appearance, he's never played this far into a season.
My biggest fear isn't him being tired. There will be a lot of time between the final game of the regular season and the first game of the first round because of the play-in tournament. My biggest fear is him rolling and ankle or something.
Is it just for the consecutive games streak? He might play one possession and come out. I think bridges did that before.
Probably doesn't want to break his streak or has a different mentality about rest vs being in rhythm.
He’ll probably have limited minutes and sit the whole 4th like the okc game. Just trying to keep the iron man streak alive
The "supreme talent": 2/7 FG, 0 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 4 TOs with -15 in 15 minutes. Stellar... Wow. Yay.
I don't think I've seen anyone play one half and the other half came out in street clothes lol please just sit out Jalen forget about that meaningless record.
