Espada nearly went 3 for 3 in game giveaways. Brought in Scott and luckily just gave up 1 run last night. Then stupidly pitched to Arozarena with a man on 3rd and 1 out in extra innings. By some miracle he walked (but should have been an intentional walk), and then the next batter hit into the double play you should have purposely set up for. That was more luck than sense. He's a loser. We went 30-45 last year in games decided by 2 runs or fewer for a very good reason. No surprise we would lose 2 more close games in the playoffs and bow out unceremoniously. He's inept and stupid. Jim Crane, do you care anymore?
Well if this is true then who cares. The communication was his ****ing .180 batting average with constant failings in the clutch after 2 months. **** spoiled brat athletes. (I’m sure I got the average wrong but he was plain awful)
Just a stupid stupid loss. Should've been 10-0 in the 4th but the bats are pathetic with runners on base.
I hope Espada defenders won't forget how lifeless the Astros looked when they got swept by the underdog Tigers in the ALDS.
Oh it definitely should have been, the bullpen collapse was the bigger issue. Our egghead manager **** the bed.
There is no scenario where a 5 run 8th inning lead should ever be squandered. Brown and Espada have sucked the fun out of this franchise. Even if Brown's moves/draft picks hit, I can't stand his snake oil bulls***. Luhnow and even Click had better bed side manner when it comes to talking. I have zero trust in Espada. I can't think of anything smart he has done since being manager. He doesn't have the IQ of Hinch or the instincts of Dusty (before he went full old man stubborn).
I’ve said it before. There’s no way this team will win anything with a novice coach and I’ll add to that he’s a dumb novice coach. Not sure what they saw in him….
I just want Espada gone. It doesn't matter that the team managed to pick it up last season to win the division, they still choked against the Tigers. Espada isn't it and he needs to go.
Still don't understand why VanWey didn't get in there to start the 7th or 8th. Literally ANYBODY but Contreras.
