ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Clippers 4/9/2025

Hopefully Tari can work some of kinks out tonight. Last two games have been terrible and the Rockets won despite him.
To win a 1st round series, they will need Tari at his productive, disruptive best.

Hopefully Reed and Cam have their outside shots going. I also want to see Jack McVeigh splash some corner 3s.

Maybe they can push the Clippers well into the 4th quarter. Or not.

 

Laker fan freaking out that we will give the Clips and Nugs easy wins but play for real against them. It would actually be a good way to get the Lakers out of our bracket.

I understand a Lakers fan saying this and I definitely wouldn't mind the Rockets doing it because I utterly despise the Lakers.

However, clinching #2 changes things so much I'm not sure the Rockets will go all-in until the first playoff game. For example, since Jalen is starting tonight, I doubt he plays against the Lakers unless he sits out the entire 2nd half.

I doubt Jalen plays more than 3 minutes today. I think they are just wanting him to say he played all 82 games.

 

As a fan attending the game, this saddens me even though I understand it logically.
