Mando a better episode by episode show probably. Each episode could stand alone as entertaining and be enjoyable without much context and obviously had better fan service. It was more "fun." This was a better SERIES though, a better story. At the end of this season it felt like you just finished a really great story. The acting was superb throughout. It was deeper, it was darker, it was more serious. Mando was like listening to 10 (or however many episodes per season) cool pop songs with a few having pretty catchy sections. Andor was like listening to long rock (replace with your genre of choice) ballad that built up and finished with an epic chord.
Great series! At first I thought Meero was the missing sister but that is looking harder to write/explain with only one season left.
Finally watched this a month ago it's amazing. I really enjoyed how it didn't feel like star wars and especially how they made the Empire seem very scary and very competent. Scenes like these just stuck out to me:
I dropped d+, so I'm unfortunately out. But it should be interesting to see how they balance the story with the action this year. Which it sounds like they are going to try and do so they meet in the middle.
I like the way they are going to release this final season..... The biggest difference this time is how they will be released. The first season released its first three episodes at launch and then a single episode weekly – the twelve-episode season was ultimately aired over a span of two months. That won’t be the case this time with a much more compressed release strategy. The new season will see each chapter/arc releasing once a week – meaning three new episodes will release every Tuesday for four weeks in a row starting on April 22nd and running through May 13th. The first season spanned ‘Recruitment’ (eps 1-3) penned by Tony Gilroy, ‘Heist’ (eps 4-6) penned by Dan Gilroy, a mostly standalone seventh episode penned by Stephen Schiff, ‘Imprisonment’ (eps 8-10) penned by Beau Willimon, and ‘Rebellion’ (eps 11-12) penned by Tony Gilroy. https://www.darkhorizons.com/andor-s2-gets-compressed-release-plan/
