if last night game didn't convince u of green's potential to b HIM nothing will.

Man was literally willing his way to try to win us a game with a min to go and he was going crazy.

According to some of yall, Jalen shouldn't be starting for a NBA roster. So how good he is now isn't a conversation you have the credibility to have

Now that Jokic is back after his massive 1 game absence, is Jalen down to #2 in the league? Or has he surpassed even the 3 time MVP.

It would have been nice to see which clowns wanted Booker.

Elimination game and man is just going through the motion

Really reminded me the time booker and co for celebrating his career night as his team lost.

    Unserious type sht

His numbers still don’t look bad: 21/2/4 in 1st half.

Beal on the other hand. Holy sht. After the 1 point game you would think he’d want to prove something. This is embarrassing. What happened to him?

No, you trade Fred, Tari, and picks for Booker, who is currently 11th in the league in assists - he is your point guard.

Yes, I said Tari. Phoenix won't let Booker go unless we give them one of our best young players. Cam won't move the needle enough. Also, we can't afford to extend both Tari and Bari if we're bring in Booker, and Bari is the better prospect - he's much bigger and younger than Tari, plus he shoots better.

I am a no on this, Booker is better, but he would disrupt the leadership order where Amen is top dog....and that is the team's identity.

Jalen will get stronger and better. A reliable backup SG/ SF will be good enough for the team. Don't gut the team for anyone.

I wouldn't trade anyone on this roster atm. #2 seed, and a team that's getting better and better. give them a year of playoff experience, and let's see what we've got.

I feel like any claims of wanting to trade Green for a player should involve some form of analysis to determine trajectory rather than just believing the grass is greener at face value because you know Devin Booker is a multiple time all-star and that is the sole criteria you are basing your desires on which I believe is fool hearted.

interesting graph. Will green get a little exponential growth in his curve like booker did until he flattened out ? Is green trapped in a more linear mode ?
Will bookers decline smooth out a bit or will it go down sharply.

For the record , i have never liked booker and consider him soft.

At certain points i would have traded green for him , id till consider it based on the deal.

Green does what we want pretty well and still has room for upside. There are definitely guys i would move him for , but the list is getting smaller.

We are at an inflection point coming up . we are still trying to balance development and competing .

A trade of Green for Booker needs to consider more than just talent. There is the financial cost. Booker makes $53M next year compared to Jalen's $33M. Jalen isn't a superstar, but he isn't paid like one. He's fairly compensated, IMO. Booker is paid like a tier 1 superstar, 10th highest annual average salary in the league, and he simply isn't that caliber of player. His salary tops out at $61M in 27-28 and of course he's going to seek a max extension, all of which makes it very hard to avoid the 2nd apron when the rest of our core is extended. Jalen's up for his next contract at the same time, but we have much more flexibility with his lower salary and age.

Then there's the opportunity cost. Booker puts us into win now mode, which is great if we think he gets us over the hump. But I don't see the rush to try and win now when our players are just getting their first playoff experience. Why trade for Booker now when Jalen already has chemistry with this core? There could be much better players available down the line that might fit our timeline better. In the next 2-3 years anything could happen. Maybe Ant or Haliburton want out. And by then we might have top lotto picks available from Phoenix and Brooklyn to dangle. We can afford to be patient.

Is Booker as good a defender?
I'm not saying that either is a defensive beast
    but
Booker sometimes doesn't seem like he tries as hard as Jalen

Booker can't really shoot from deep either.

Discussion is long finished. Early in the season when Green was struggling PHX could maybe have fleeced us and got Green + pick/s + another young guy.

Now it is just "lol" if they enquire.
Thanks for the lotto pick dudes!! 2 more please in the coming years.

I'm sure Booker could adapt and play to Ime's standards but that adaptation will make his offensive production and efficiency suffer. Booker doesn't try as much because he wants to put up his offensive numbers and his team allows him to do that and that is part of why the Suns have two of the world's best scoring threats and are still a lottery team.

Booker doesn't give us anywhere near enough that we don't already have to justify the $280M we'd have to pay him over the next three post-prime years of his career.
