Man, an old lady wearing a Kings jersey could try to cross the street in Oklahoma City, and Dort would grab onto her and then act like he did nothing wrong.
There's a big difference between aggressive defense and dirty defense. Pushing someone who's in the air is dirty defense. Moving on a pick is one thing, but tripping a defender when screening is dirty. If you don't get called for the former plays, that's annoying, not getting called for the latter dirty plays is demoralizing.
Lakers punting tonight OKC and resting their starters. This would guarantee the Rockets the 2nd seed. Are the Lakers brass assuming the Rockets will rest their guys this Friday with 2 seed locked up? I know Lakers have tiebreakers over most of the other teams lower than them in the standings but I really do hope playing with fire burns them. A Mavs win over the Lakers tomorrow would be the sweetest thing in the world.
There will be more than enough time for rest like 7-8 days as we will wait for play in. I don't expect resting too much.
Lakers want us to play hard against Clippers and Nuggets so that they can secure the 3rd seed. Tanking the OKC game so that the Rockets would relax wouldn't do them any good. That said, it's not like they have good possibility to catch the Rockets for the 2 seed. If I were the Rockets, I'd beat the Lakers and tank the Clippers and Nuggets games just to screw with the Lakers.
I agree that there is plenty of time for rest, however, I hope Ime is not playing them maximum minutes either. Hoping he manages their minutes to stay sharp.
Lakers starters playing tonight after all. What was the point of faking out every one by putting them all on the injury report? Mind games with OKC?
Since the Lakers aren't completely locked in for #2 or #3, they will keep playing until there is clarity on their slot/position in the Playoffs.
