it sucks bad but i'll be honest, the jordan poole shot was worst for me

that was our first really good team in decades and seeing them get eliminated in that way was just terrible.

you even had that lil b**** john okorn mocking us on twitter. brutal.
**** michigan and **** that bum john okorn. greg ward was always the better qb.

    Time to retire 1983.

    2025 is just as crushing.

Okorn turned out to be a real piece of work.

Big time "writes his own Wikipedia page" energy.

You won't see it much because it's basically anti climax. Like a wet fart compared to a buzzer beater.

And for Francis and Wilson, they both played great during the tournament

I think Milo’s is the wildcard, he’s been positioned to go in the middle of the 2nd in some mock drafts. Tugler has NBA potential but I really hope he stays. Should be interesting to see what happens

Milos, JoJo, Sharp, and Arceneaux need to come back new and improved and finish the job.

I'm ready for our undefeated season to start already. Must... be... patient...

The amazing thing is that I don't see an NBA ready talent anywhere on that team. Not yet. Tugler might be ready defensively but his overall game isn't even close. Milos might have the best upside because of his size as a PG, but he'd be crazy to go right now. Everyone who is able to return should come back. People make bad decisions all the time though.

All the guys who can come back, should come back. They will improve their (next) professional prospects. They will have the opportunity to experience ecstasy; after this agony, that ecstasy will be especially sweet.

This loss stings but credit to Florida for their defense. They did the same to TT

Jojo is still super raw. He'd be a major project but i think he's a better prospect than Milos be cause of how unique he is. Would be smart of him to stay and develop a better touch.

As far as Milos, If he were a freshman or sophomore, i would be with you 100% but he's a junior whose only real downside is not being an elite athlete. He's not going to suddenly be a fast twitch guy and the nba values age so much that dudes will slide for just being a year older. I hope he comes back but i would understand if he were to leave.

I think those are the only two possible deflections we might have. Arceneaux is a local kid and i think he'll stay regardless.

This is the same day after feeling I had when Stockton hit the game winner to knock us out the WCF, and after 2019 WS Game 7. There are plenty of other eliminations and championship losses, but this one feels like those other two, and not like the others.

My hope with Milos is that he can add 10-15 lbs of beef and learn to seek out and finish through contact. I think he can do that, and win a championship, and improve his draft prospects. Our improvement as a team this year owed a lot to his improved aggressiveness-- he can continue to improve, IMHO.

Well, if it's any consolation, ESPN has us ranked #1 in the way-too-early preseason polls. No way Sampson starts 3 freshmen though, right?

    #1 Houston Cougars

For now, we're projecting Milos Uzan to turn pro. He's No. 40 in ESPN's NBA draft rankings and was playing some of the best basketball in the country over the second half of the season. Kelvin Sampson could search the portal for an experienced point guard if Uzan decides to leave. But the Cougars are bringing in one of the elite recruiting classes in the country, with three top-20 prospects. Combine all that with the return of Emanuel Sharp and Joseph Tugler, and we have faith in Houston.

    Projected starting lineup

Kingston Flemings (No. 20 in ESPN 100)
Isiah Harwell (No. 13 in ESPN 100)
    Emanuel Sharp (12.7 PPG)
    Joseph Tugler (5.5 PPG)
Chris Cenac Jr. (No. 6 in ESPN 100)

No way he starts a freshman pg unless he's just that special

The other two guys are elite talents that will start 100%

Yep. I think he can get much better with another year under his belt. I'm not sure why anyone would leave in the NIL era to be a 2nd round draft pick if they could develop and become a first rounder a year later. That's where I see him right now. He's just not there yet.
