The brave men and women who died in service under the CIA and DOD who sacrificed themselves to suppress labor laws around the globe during the peak of the Cold War to help make American capital be more profitable are rolling in their graves now knowing their sacrifice was for nothing.

Deb! You really are a debbie downer. What if I were to tell you ... democrats have championed this exact same policy in the past. It's why your copy and pasted answers all have rage towards Trump, but no actual meat and bones about why tariffs won't provide opportunities for the bottom 50%.

Here's Pelosi, Sanders and a guy called Obama proposing the exact same thing. The reason you're told to be angry is because the democrats target low IQ voters with constant rage bait. If Trump said we're increasing the salary of first responders who are overworked, they'd find a way to make you angry about it. It's the far left religion.

A very small fraction of our society has benefited from globalization. A huge chunk was decimated by it. The dems are the party of the elite , you don't strike me as elite... so there's no need to be a puppet.

I don't care about selling trucks to penguins, I just think it's interesting when the Administration and Friends say the quiet part out loud.

You keep repeating the same low iq garbage in this thread over and over. Look dumbass we started onshoring manufacturing at a higher pace under biden than we did under any other admin in modern history.

Your cult leader has installed lobbyist at the head of OSHA/NLRB/LABOR department to supress wages and crush unions. You don't get to gas light us that these tariffs are about high paying jobs.

Stop repeating the same garbage in every page.

The party that's installed an Amazon lobbyist as head of the NLRB/OSHA while pushing for trillions in tax cuts for the top 1% is totally the working class party.

Nobody buys your low iq bullshit on these forums. Go try your garbage somewhere else where people are brainwashed

In 2024 , a record number of Americans had European vacations.

In 2024, a record number of Americans used food banks. And it came from working people who couldn't make ends meet.

    The extremes grew under Biden.

You want to give Biden credit for a bilateral move to get manufacturing onshore after covid shortages, whatever floats your boat. CHIPS is not exclusive to Biden. But it is undeniable how much the bottom 50... really bottom 90% have struggled the past 4 years. Lack of prospects, unaffordability, and a widening income gap caused a lot of people to wake up to the fact they weren't getting the benefits of the globalization explosion. Handouts and endless fed printing weren't a long term fix to that (it made things worse). Maybe you're cheap and don't want to pay a little more for made in America goods, but people in the top 10% have a civic duty. I am happy to buy made in America.

Tesla workers are the best paid in the biz and aren't allowed to unionize. They tend to suffocate innovation and the extra work that needs to be put into projects with a deadline.

The manufacturing boom that happened under biden was not bilateral. Senate Republicans only voted for the CHIPS act after they were ashamed by Jon Stewart and MSM after they threatened not to vote for it after the senate passed the Pact act. Even after Trump and house leadership repeatedly told it's members not to vote for the chips act. The first thing Trump did when he came into office was dismantle the chips office .

The Inflation Reduction act has been responsible for over 400+ new factories coming online predominantly in the Midwestern and rust towns. We've had 200+ new battery plants open and several new ev car manufacturers open up. All of these jobs were union jobs as Biden had installed the most pro union nlrb in history which made it easier for workers to form unions.

    The
entire inflation reduction act was written so for any corporation to get a dollar in subsidies they would have to manufacture everything in America. The critical minerals had to be mined in usa, the battery had to be manufactured in usa, and the evs would have to be assembled in usa.

    You are brainwashed

Also record number of people did not use food banks in 2024.

53 million people used food banks in 2024
60 million people used food banks in 2020

Quit lying about EVERYTHING. We are not brainwashed morons you can gas light with disinformation. Your bogus probably works on 60% of Americans but you can't lie on here

Amid Trump's tariff offensive, China lets yuan slide to 19-month low

The timing of the adjustment reflects growing urgency in Beijing to support its faltering export sector,
now under heightened strain from Washington’s aggressive tariff hikes.

A weaker yuan would make Chinese goods more competitive overseas,
potentially offsetting some of the damage from American duties.

Trump is goading China into calling before his 50% retaliatory tariff goes live at the end of the day to walk it back. If China doesn’t call, then they are standing pat.

The whole point of all the tariff mess is so that the US can "afford" an extension of the massive multi-trillion tax breaks to the wealthy that was virtually the only "accomplishment" during Trump's first term. Tariffs i.e import taxes or duties are needed to offset the next tax cut as some of the conservatives in Trump's coalition know that tax cuts lead to deficits and they are actually concerned about budget deficits. The next tax cuts would start at a higher baseline than in Trump's initial term.

If little MAGA's like Tinman types get a few hundred or even a thousand or two they are so happy even if Elon and the uber wealthy get billions in tax cuts, as they believe sincerely in trickle down. Now if the little MAGA's lose money in their 401K's they might be upset.

For many of the little MAGA's their version of fairness and Christianity raises no concerns over other folks losing their education, healthcare, retirement etc. benefits. Needless to say if it leads to outright starvation in poorer countries too bad for them.
