Florida was great and they handled their business that second half. We usually hit enough timely shots to win these type of games but credit to Florida for their defense. It is what it is.
From an extreme high to a gut wrenching loss. I should be used to it by now as a Houston sports fan but this one hurt. I feel so bad for the players and coach though. They were so damn close to winning it all.
there were 27 fouls called in the second half. I think 16 on Houston. Is that what you call refs not taking over?
I thought that had control of the game before the whistles. 19 (Hou) to 9 (FL) is pretty alarming for a title game. That goaltend not called in the first ends up being significant too.
Agreed drive and kick to a 3 if that’s what you want. Although they tried doing that before and that got stuffed out too.
I felt going into the tournament that UF was the best team and they ended up winning it. Stinks!!!!!!!
Agreed, and we also just don't have inside guard scoring / guards who can effectively drive and score. Uzan has floaters that weren't hitting, but not a tough layup guy. Sharp is a little short and fearless, but can only get through clear lanes effectively. Cryer's best offense is pullups and off-ball action. Yes, Coogs don't have much offense other than ATO's, 3's, 2nd chances, and post-ups, but it's arguably as much of a personnel issue as a coaching issue. With the newer recruits, how to score should open up. We just need the coaches to nurture that talent.
No way around it, this really ****ing sucks. But its ok. The sun will come up tomorrow. And dont forget, we are a golf school. We got 16 of them puppies!! suck on that, haters
Uzan played too soft even for him. Refs got the call to make the game closer after the Coogs were running away with it.
I agree 100% - if the Rockets lost like that in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, I think I would lose all desire to ever watch the NBA game.
Give credits to Florida. UH as a team has the best 3p% Florida just locked in when it mattered. Just like how UH did it against other teams. I'm still annoyed by the missed goaltend.
Sucks so much for Sharp. Dude shut down the hottest player in college ball at the moment and just had some brutal luck those last two possessions. Kid was great this year.
The way they lost to the Warriors was the closest thing to that. I have not watched the highlights of that game. Probably never will.
The game changed after the non stop whining by the Florida coach that ended with the Florida bench getting a technical. After that, seems like there was a foul every single time Florida had the ball… On the other end, the offense was just terrible. Florida did not deserve to win that game.
