From a Fan perspective - you right
    but
somehow I don't think the guys on the court feel that way
    which is great

Honestly . . . . .it is more from a Fan in August perspective
    now . .. .. we fans are GREEE-DEEEEE
We want more and more and more

    That's a good thing

    I'm happy no matter what

Gotta feel the emotion (s) or why be a fan?

Yesterday’s post-apocalyptic Greening showed a focus and commitment that certainly evoked positivity throughout my fanlike pores.

    Nah

We have to move the goal post in order to be upset with Ime, Stone, or your least favorite of our young core.

Awesome post OP. Pretty much agree with all the posters here. Amazing season.

Really loved the growth of our youngsters. Jalen, Jabari, Tari, Amen and Sengun have shown a lot of growth.

The patience of ownership/front office and the coaching of Ime has to be appreciated too. Other teams out there doing all kinds of crazy. Have to be grateful for where we are at.

Man... if we get to the NBA Finals it really shouldn't surprise us but it will.

Good to get there feet wet. Things will slow down and I'm sure old coaching schemes will come into play.bl

I'm thinking Rockets/Udoka should have a good half court strategy. I'm for dumping it into Alpi all day! and watching him do his work threw the whole series!

I'm already worried how we're going to pay everyone.

But yes well beyond my expectations. I don't see how Udoka doesn't win COY. So, so much credit goes to him.

(LOL he's not even in the top 4. JJ Reddick has better odds with 2 of the best to ever play the game)

Everyone should be calling the office of Ted Cruz and beg the staff not to let him show up at a Rockets playoff game.

I agree for the most part, but I can’t sit here and say “regardless of what happens in the post-season”

if they somehow got slapped around and swept in the 1st round, that would invalidate the regular season…they don’t have championship expectations, but they’re also not that Harden-Jeremy Lin team that was supposed to be a lotto team but ended up as an 8th seed facing OKC and we’re just happy to be there

They have far exceeded expectations. But I’ll be lying if I say I won’t be disappointed if they flop in the first round.

I still have them losing in the first round, but credit to Udoka for getting the max out of a team with no superstars. We will be playing either Ant or Jokic in the first round and the West is brutal. Maybe we get lucky and get Morant, but either way it will be a good learning experience like the NBA Cup.

It is April and there isn't a single draft thread on the first page. Yep, a success to me as well.

But a sweep in the first round would suck lol, we'd be seen as frauds.

Certainly exceed my expectations in terms of youngster development but I have no faith in our pg positon. Reed isnt ready, and fvv is overpaid to get his a$$ carried which does not bode well in playoffs.

I think our youngsters and brooks will show up to play in playoffs but will get dragged down by shtty performances from nba champion fvv leading to an early exit. Hopefully I'm wrong.

If the goal is just to get into playoffs, it's a success. But I feel like if we finished 2nd in the competitive west, expectations should b adjusted. Wcf or finals should be our target goal right now cause getting bounce early as a 2nd seed is just a failure in my eyes.

I get the OP, but Coach isn’t saying that.

“Years” are defined by post-season in the NBA. Time to take our tanking caps off and return to what it is all about as a fan.

This playoff-push and going through long playoff series is where vital player development occurs. It really is a key part of our rebuild.

Every one of the teams in the West are capable of winning in the first round. I will be disappointed if they lose, but it is the manner in which they win or lose that I will be paying attention to. Do we play too conservatively? Does Ime revert to FVV/Sengun centric offense? Do we play fast and turnovers cost us games? How we play in the playoffs should influence our off-season greatly.

Strong start, weak finishes.....second time now.......

It isn't a success if it continues like that.
