He wouldn't have won 7 if he did become a star due to having seasons of mediocrity. That is unfortunately how this works. A matter of what you can be. Jordan 'only' won 6 being the man. Horry became a key glue guy like Isaiah Hartenstein or Alex Caruso now. Just with championships.
Looks like Jabari has settled nicely into the sixthman role. I know they aren't the same kind of player, but I wonder if Ime sees him kind of like Ginobli. Star player who helps the team more and can perform better in a bench role. Jabari hasn't seemed to mind coming off the bench as long as it's working stick with it.
Don't say GLUE GUY like a diss You absolutely have to have HORRYs on your team I would say that in his Miami Championship years. . . . Chris Bosh was more of a HORRY Guy than a star We need Dogs! We need Utilities I think we have our DOGS in Dillon Brooks (madd dawg!!Artest/Maxwell type) Amen and Tari We have Utilities guys like Bari and Sheppard and Holiday . . maybe Cam Rocket River
Jabari has already been benched twice for amen and Tari. That just shows how the coaches and front office feel about him. He will not be part of the rockets future plans. Jabari will get traded in the offseason.
He got benched when he was injured. He is playing great off the bench, so they have left him there. Really stupid comment. He is the youngest of our core and I believe will be extended, unless he is involved in a blockbuster trade (unlikely).
Warriors would love to have Jabari fill that Klay role. And that’s who I want him to emulate his game after the most.
I've been meaning to post about Jabari since he moved to the bench, but haven't had the time. His game has gone to a different level. Be it confidence, be it competing against bench players,. Be it, whatever. Something has been unlocked. He isn't hesitating on his shot and it's been PURE. He is defending with aggressive movement, confident in his assignment and using his extreme length to be disruptive both in the passing lane and at the POA. I don't know what or where this will take him in the future, but I know for a fact it is contributing greatly to our team success. I'd like to see the team try to feature him a bit more offensively off the bench, just to see if he's ready to take the next step as an offensive cog, as opposed to a spoke in the wheel. Again... as a bench contributor. It could pay huge dividends. Go Jabari!
