ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Warriors 4/6/2025

Props to refs. Other than not ejecting Draymond previous to the elbow and after the elbow, they called a balanced game. That's all you ask from the refs.

 

First off, a big "Thank You Idiot" to Draymond Green who made sure the Rockets were locked for the entire 2nd half. Instead of getting in their heads, he stirred the good guys up and they stayed in control the rest of the way.

Amen was +26 in a 10-point win! This means the Rockets were -16 when he was off the court. If you still don’t understand why he is the best “point player” on the team, there is no hope for you.

Jalen was able to get around Gary Payton II at will, which allowed him to create for others. He also hit 4 shots mid/late 4th quarter that removed all drama from the game. Love that.

DB’s 10/13 and 3/4 from 3 were huge. This was his type of game. Refs didn’t call any of the obvious elbows he threw on Curry (off the ball when the Rockets were on offense).

Jabari embracing his role off the bench like a champ is so awesome. He can’t play much better than this.

Alpi was not intimidated by Draymond, which was huge for the Rockets keeping control of the game. He did miss several opportunities on offense by not attacking or not attacking quickly enough. 5/10 FTs isn’t going to cut it, but 14 rebounds (7 on offense) made up for it.

Steven Adams is a game-changer.

Fred and Tari were terrible. ‘Nuff said.

 

Steph Curry and Windy are doing secret #2's watching the game film of Amen Thompson's defense tonight.

Curry got pushed off a plane and stranded on Amen Island. 1,000 illegal moving screens wouldn't have saved him tonight. He was lost.

No, Mike with his 5 man playoff rotation, and no adjustments whatsoever can't even shine Ime's shoes. Adelman was alright but not on this level. Rudy was a good coach but not as good as Ime. The only flaw Ime has is that he's stubborn, especially about his principles (basketball wise, don't care about him as a person). But his defense, timeouts, rotations, adjustments, in game adjustments are all quintessential. This team is not a 2nd seed without him, not even close.

 

This is actually true. I thought they were gonna hit Dillon with a tech when he hung on the rim.

I agree on almost everything. Fred was fine today. He didn’t force anything. He got put in some touch matchups against Jimmy and Draymond and did about as well as you could hope.

Tari was definitely sub par.
