Just saw the new adidas commercial with T-Mac on TNT a bit earlier. Its pretty cool it has a giant monster type motif to it. T-mac hits a jumper and starts heading down to the other side of the court dribbling a basketball and mini jets swoop in and try to trip him and attach lines to him to slow him down (similar to how the rebels took down the atats (? is that what they were called not a huge star wars buff) in empire strikes back) mini-hummers on the ground try to do the same to trip him up and when he reaches the 3-point line you see little people come out from underneath and try to harpoon T-Mac. But he is able to still jump up and thrown down a tomahawk while breaking all the lines that were attached to him in the process. Then the Impossible is Nothing slogan appears. All in all I thought it was a pretty cool commercial and seeing T-mac from the perspective of the plans and cars was pretty cool. What did you guys all think?

    I really liked it.

Adidas is known for making very classy and clean looking commercials - with high detail on the little things, and making a statement without really making the statement (Ala, people jumping on KG's back).

I liked the view from the helicopter windshield.

    All in all, great commercial.

Is the theme of the commercial supposed to be based on some scene in a movie? When I first saw it, the Empire Strikes Back came to mind. That's a peculiar demographic to target. I still think the best basketball shoe commercial in the last few years is the TMac repetitive dunk commercial. It showed what kind of ability TMac possesses.

I think the worst two shoe commercials ever made was the Steve Francis (one in which he is a businessman) and Kobe commercial (one in which he is a laboratory).

    Exactly!!!

You took the words out of my mouth. That was the first thought that came to my mind when I saw. Pretty nice commercial indeed - clean, classy and warm.

It sounds like it would have been a better Commercial for Yao's shoe. :(

    Still nice shoes

Hopefully I will see it tonight during WS Game 3.

Just in case if it's too obscure to find, the 'T-MAC TV' link is to the bottom right of where the image of McGrady dunking is located.

The commercial is longer and looks alot better on the Rockets.com website. It's like at the 2 or 3 minute mark of the "Making of" video.
