I'm seeing him go to GB in the 2nd or falling to Seattle in the early third. But he's gone 2/3rds of the time or a can't pass is with him like Conerly.

Add Miami Dolphins to the OL wishlist. Terron Armstead says his watch is over. Retires

Part of me thinks that Nick will take Walter Nolan or Kenneth Grant (if available) due to the depth of this DT class and because we won't have such an opportunity next draft. He may also consider that he can still obtain a quality WR and OL thereafter.

Do you believe this to be a very real possibility?

I get the feeling that they prefer to rotate DTs to get max effort, so I don't think you will see them use premium capital on a DT, despite the obvious ties to Darius Alexander. Last year was a super heavy DT draft and this year is great for them as well, I think you will find some good quality at 89 or even trading back into the low 100s due to it being less of a need for many teams across the league.

While we do rotate DTs, I wouldn’t say the won’t use a premium pick on a DT. They clearly went after Christian Wilkins last offseason but got outbid. And that’s with a heavy DT draft last year, like you said. If the right DT is available, they’ll take him.

I hope you're right, passing on a guy you think could be the next Chris Jones because you need an IOL wouldn't be smart IMHO.

Chris Jones is a first ballot hall of famer. I don't see any of the interior defensive lineman that will be available at 25 that have Chis Jones comparisons. Walter Nolen, Kenneth Grant, Darius Alexander and Derrick Harmon I could only project at this point to be potential starters.

Chris Jones didn't compare to the future Chris Jones in 2016, when selected in the 2nd round

2016 Weaknesses: " Inconsistent pad level. Doesn't have any pass rush moves. Plays too tall. Raw player that needs to develop"

Edit more... "Runs out of gas. Only 1 good season."

Wasn’t Chris Jones supposed to be a 1st rounder but some knocks/red flags on him made him fall?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, we need a QUALITY CB for depth, correct? Might we use a top-4 pick for one?

And do we still want a LB that excels in covering TE?

Also, do you think we'll pass on RB because we believe that Damian Pearce is going to be productive in this new system?

Cap said he wanted a speed back (a la Gibbs in Detroit)

I remember very clearly there were some personal red flags. People were concerned about his character.

Chris Jones was a 2nd rd pick because GM's passed up talent for need.

Which is exactly why we might take Nolan or Grant #1 and I would be happy.

I understand the sentiment that Nolen/Grant may be more enticing to take than an IOL that will still likely be rotational next year. I know that trading down isn't always possible, but I just think this isn't a particularly top heavy draft and like the idea of getting more chances to roll the dice. If someone I don't view as a blue chip prospect isn't there at 25, I think we would be better off trading out of the 1st round and gaining another pick or 2. Take advantage of the DT/WR/RB depth this draft and spend the top assets towards the positions with high end quality that has a more defined falloff like CB, TE, and OT.

Caserio has done a solid job of giving us the opportunity to go BPA, I highly doubt I'll be disappointed with whatever direction we go because most of these picks are about rounding out the roster moving forward with the high end extensions on the docket , just giving a heads up for the way I would approach this draft.

Side note, this EDGE class is loaded, feels wrong to completely avoid it.
