For the record yes I support some strategically targeted tariffs that can be placed long term with Congressional support. That way the tariffs are seen as stable enough to allow to investors to actually invest in that industry to build, staff, train, and distribute for years to come.

No I do not support Trumps insane approach of blanket tariffs on everyone for the purpose of making world leaders bend the knee and offer him a personal “gift” on the side to smooth things over… meanwhile tanking the global economy and triggering an unnecessary recession.

Trumps tariffs are stupid and most likely put in place to enrich himself through corruption. He’s also tanking the economy on purpose so that his billionaire buddies can buy up half the stock market on a discount and further monopolize the economic power of the United States.

It makes me sick that so much of the country has no idea how tariffs work and will literally excuse anything that Trump does even when it’s so obviously bad for them and the rest of the 99%. Like this isn’t even really debatable.

I also don’t think the people who are displaying the IQ of a Labrador should be pointing fingers at liberals all being drug addicts for some weird reason.

I would like to make a point on the idea people want to become president to get wealthier. Presidents generally do not become super wealthy after their term. Sure, they rake in tens of millions, but there is certainly better ways to get wealthier. Generally its an ego driven thing.

Also much of Trumps wealth is stored in real estate, not equities, so he doesn't put much thought into the stock market. And considering half of Americans do not own equities, that works well for him. That is why he is a populist. He isn't openly sucking the wealth americans who have their wealth tied up in the stock market. And what is so weird is this used to be a core Democrat belief. Now all we hear is about all the well off people losing unrealized wealth in the stock market.
And the only tax a democrat hates is the one that they do not get to choose to appropriate.

Further, the stock market goes into turmoil over UNCERTAINTY. Its not that they hate the tariffs, they hate not knowing 6-18 months out. And we don't know what Trump will do. If we get Canada, Mexico and Vietnam worked out, we will be ok.
