Before the game, I would have said we want Auburn, but after that 1st half where UF played like a deer in the headlights (except for Clayton), I dunno.
Hard to believe we are about to watch UH in the final 4 for the 2nd time in 5 years. This all seemed so impossible before Sampson. I think it’s possibly the best job any coach has ever done in the history of college basketball. This program was wandering in the desert for over 30 years.
Is there any team (Pro or College and any sport) from Houston that is known for getting favorable treatment from the Game Officials?
Over the years, I have seen Lakers fans do a fair amount of Crying while the fans of other teams usually cite the Lakers as at/near the top of the list in regards to get favorable treatment. I understand that it is difficult for fans of a particular team to be objective about their team, but there might be something to it when there is a general agreement about the Lakers, Refs and the League by the fans of other teams.
Sampson has been a godsend, I know he had some recruiting issues with Oklahoma and Indiana. But he did his time and you couldn’t have asked for a better coach. Curious to see how many years he will stay coaching.
Great read on Sampson if yall haven't seen it https://www.espn.com/mens-college-b...son-houston-mens-national-championship-legacy
Rumor is he’s done if they win it all this year. Not sure I believe that. I bet he coaches another 2-3 seasons.
When I wake up tomorrow, I want to wake up in a world where it's still possible for our Rox AND our Coogs to win their respective championships this season.
I hope he stays coaching for a couple more years especially with the loaded freshman class coming into next year
