Bregman hitting near .300 now. He and Tucker have hit to start the season which never seemed to happen here

No, but they are all interchangable offensively. In 2024, Dubon was the best of the bunch with Chas being the worst. In 2022 and 2023, Dubon was #2 (Chas #1, Meyers #3). The problems with the Astros lineup are not about which very-similar mediocre hitter they have in the #9 spot.

At the end of the day, none of these guys need playing time. One of them has to get it by default but they are pretty mediocre.

To be fair, Tucker was gangbusters out of the gate last year.

I disagree that they are interchangeable offensively. When Meyers and McCormick are hitting, they tend to hit with a lot more power than Dubon. Dubon should just be a utility infield guy who plays the OF if there is an injury.

Really stupid. I’m through with the experimentation already. Altuve back to 2nd, Dicenzo to LF, McCormick until he sucks in CF.
    Altuve
    Paredes
    Alvarez
    Walker
    Diaz
    Dicenzo
    Pena
    McCormick
    Smith

Until further notice. Eventually Smith will rise in the line-up. Pitching will have to keep us in the game until the bats come alive.

    Problem: team barely scores runs

Solution: player with 2nd highest OPS gets rest

I'm about ready to give up on the Espada experiment.

I think we all were ready last year but didn’t want to be rude, kinda like how he manages. Honeymoon is over.

If the top of the 1st is any indication how the rest of the game will go.
I will be watching Re-runs of Maine Cabin Masters by the 4th inning.

If we get out of the gate like we did last season, that’s definitely on Joe.

Terrible slow start again. Deja vu of last season. Espada, Cintron, Snitker sitting on their hands.
