Then we should already start rolling out this line up Green - Lead Guard/Slasher w/ 3 Porter jr. - Combo Guard/Catch & Shoot 3/Defense Eason - SF/Defense w/ 3 Smith Jr. - Stretch 4/Defense Sengun - C/Inside Passing/Analytics ASAP
I'm down, but IDK if Green could necessarily be the best facilitator. It's why I like the idea of having KPJ as sort of a combo guard who we can stagger with and play with Jalen as needed. Most teams usually run a three guard rotation anyway.
Yez, Green need not to be the best facilitator right now(having KPJ,Nix/Tyty or even Gordon/JC), I'm only hoping they start having plays with this type of line-up(as training for Green and seeing if it could work). Most especially because we have Smith(elite shooting) as the #2 option. Would've been different if with Banchero or Chet.
Sure. But Mobley realistically not going anywhere, not after season he had with Cavs. Chet hasn't done anything yet.
I think everyone has a price that early on. I'd happily give next year's draft pick and a couple of BKN picks plus players for Mobley, and it'd give us our core at basically the same age and the same time. I know Chet would be similar and easier to get (in theory) but hell, if the option was there is take it.
Out of all those teams, it seems the Rockets have ascended the fastest of all. Whether it's because of talent, or culture, or a combination of the two...simply fantastic
This is the first roster I have looked at in the last 30 years where I didn't look at one of the players and say, chunk that guy, he sucks. Everyone on this team contributes with the time they are given. I would say keep the pick from PHX and draft smart like we have been, renegotiate Fred's contract to make him a possible bench leader going forward and run it back next year. They are all still so young and the longer they play together the stronger they become. I can see them hitting 60 wins next year and replicate their outstanding defensive number while getting the shooting numbers up. This team has really learned how to grind out a win, next year those wins would be twice as easy. Side note: Imagine Cam and Reed getting real maturity after this year (Cam moving the ball and playing within the system and Reed's shooting confidence returning full strength) the bench would be STRONG!!! Literally 5 potential starters running the second unit. Sheppard / Whitmore / Eason / Smith Jr. / Adams
I was thinking about if the Thunder were in the eastern conference we would be the Thunder right now. The Rockets have been one year behind them on the time line for 4 years now. If they were the Thunder last year they could be the 1st seed this year and win 60+ wins next year would be the next step if they continue to follow. There is not much room for win improvement then. It’s more figuring out how to maintain it.
