I don't like these teasers from Reed. My heart is easily fooled.

It’s so fun watching a good shooter heat up and just cook everybody. And yes, Reed is a good shooter. He will become a GREAT shooter before long. And I think we don’t necessarily need to look elsewhere for Fred’s replacement if we have R33D waiting in the wings

If he can develop into a pure 1. That would do wonders for his nba future.

But he is def off the trade pieces convo...atleast for now.

It was never about skill, just feeling comfortable with the jump to the NBA

All I want in the next 15 minutes is a Reed Sheppard highlight reel from tonight.

But ... please tell me his 3-point percentage in college wasn't based entirely on shooting against the equivalent of the Jazz garbage time squad

With the hesitancy he had at the beginning of the season he actually shot a lot of "good" shots that were open. He just missed. I just can't look at the guy and not think he won't end up being a very very good winning player. The constant tips on passes, his own full court passes, ability to stay patient.

If he can get stronger and get his foot speed a bit faster it should mitigate his biggest weakness some.

That's the Reed we were hoping to see all season long. Man that jumper is pure

@J.R. posted this tweet in the game thread and it also belongs here.

Congrats to Reed and all here who never doubted him. He actually has a shot at being included in the playoff rotation! This was my goal for him starting the season but, alas, I lost faith during the journey. Forgive me.

    I'm rooting for him.

Same here. I had doubts when he was struggling earlier. But it’s looking more and more like we made the right pick.

Even if he never gets any meaningful minutes the rest of the way, hopefully seeing some balls go through the net builds his confidence.

He has the game, but he does not have the physical tools to be passive, the NBA will eat him alive.

False. If Trae Young, Payton Pritchard, TJ McConnell can make it, damn sure Reed can make it...his basketball IQ is one of the best on our team!
Weight room and film room will pay dividends for him this summer.
However, he could be part of a trade package this summer if an opportunity to upgrade our starting point guard position: Ja Morant and Trae Young could become available this summer and both are younger than FVV.

If he can just keep that confidence to shoot like tonight... he'll be alright.

I swear to god if they trade Reed for Ja Morant I will be pissed for a long long long time. You can keep that mofo away from Amen/Green/Eason and everyone else.
