This has been the point all along. PHX is dead and two games aren't going to matter. At some point they will quit. I believe after our loss that happened but definitely will after OKC rolls them.
Phoenix's most winnable games are the last two (SA and SAC), but they might be mathematically eliminated by then and have nothing to play for. Sacramento, Chicago, and Miami are still somewhat motivated to play as they're all in the play in. Portland has three games they can be considered favorites in (TOR, SAS, UTA) and fortunately for us those are the three out of their next four games. 10th pick is a real possibility and 9th is an outside chance. Hoping Phoenix doesn't pull off any upsets in their next four tough games.
I’m going to the Blazers Spurs game Sunday. Would I do that willingly in any other universe? No. But we are not in a normal universe right now (on so many levels) Never rooted for the Blazers before.
Sacramento is now 3-11 in their last 14 games. How the hell did they sweep the Rockets?! Guess who the Kings play the last game of the season. The Suns in Sacramento. Imagine if the 10th seed is on the line in that one.
derozan was getting superstar calls for some reason when he was playing us - breathing on him was a foul. made our players play less aggressive all game long. guess those calls haven't been translating to other games =\ yea looks like that last game will be the decider.. sadly
Dallas won. But I don’t know if it’s good or bad. Because ATL needs to have a better record than PHX too
They have a better shot at playoffs tho so its ok, prolly better since they are already locked as a playin team. Still need them to get kore dubs or win the play in. Sac losing sucks but heat won
Ideally we want all 8 play-in teams to have a better record than PHX. Then it doesn’t matter which teams make the playoffs. We’ll be getting a pick no worse than #10.
Great call, it looks like Phoenix has the tie-breaker. Sac is up 2-1 on the series, but if Phoenix wins that game it will go to division record, which Phoenix is 9-5, vs Sac's 4-10.
One thing I enjoy about tankathon when checking our Phoenix pick, long winning streaks are listed as bold red and losing streaks are bright green
I just don’t want the Lakers to get in front of the Nuggets so that they can stay in that 4/5 matchup with Golden State which is better for the Rockets.
That's my ideal outcome. I don't care who we face, I just don't want to face the Lakers or the Warriors. Not so much because I think we can actually win a championship this season, I just don't want to deal with the officiating and the players and the strong possibility of getting swept because of said officiating and players... I want a good first round, ideally ending in a Rockets win, but I won't be pissed if it goes to 6 or 7 good games and we lose. Just don't want another f*cking GSW series where they get all the calls and hit a zillion three pointers while nothing goes our way. Had enough of that for a lifestime, thank you very much.
If you are thinking the 2nd round then we ain't winning anyhow. If we somehow manage to get past the first then Lakers, Nuggets or Warriors will take us in 5 to 6 games. We're too young of a team right now. All 3 of those teams know how to win in the playoffs.
My thought is Lakers/Warriors at 4/5 eliminates one, then OKC eliminates the other in the 2nd round and the NBA become Happy Time for me even if the Rockets don't advance.
And now the Lakers have moved up to the 3rd spot with Denver having back to back losses. That’s why I was rooting for the Nuggets these last two games.
