I've only played the base course one-time that I can remember, but it was really nice. Only $15 I think, but that was 10 years ago.

I was stationed at McChord AFB in Washington for a 6 week hitch, their course was pretty awesome.
They would make bank if they made it public. But that is tough to do since it is physically on the base.

I wonder who owns Ellington golf course. Would play that then go across the street to Peetee's for some good Cajun.
It was a cow pasture back in the day, but heard it's pretty ok now.

Apparently, you can get base access at our base just for the golf course. $30 for a 60 day pass (includes 1 round of golf) or you can sign up for an annual membership.

There's a reason they're colloquially referred to as the "Air Scouts"

Now that Musk has did his civil service, including clipping any competition on the way, we can get on with the bull run to MAGA. Tesla is about to merge with xAI and who knows what scams Musk setup for SpaceX.

Democrats and Soros. This is how you become the first trillionaire. Grifting is medicore behavior.

What senile diaper dripping idiot would begin a policy to streamline giving SS numbers to immigrants??

    https://www.rollingstone.com/politi...mmigrants-social-security-numbers-1235307351/
MUSK BLAMES DEMS FOR TRUMP GIVING IMMIGRANTS SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS
The DOGE chief is whining about “noncitizens” automatically getting Social Security numbers. The program began under Trump

    ...

“In October 2017, the EBE program was created through an agreement between SSA and ‘ … the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to assist SSA in enumerating certain applicants who: live in the United States, apply for work authorization, and need to obtain a[n] SSN,’” the report states. Under the EBE program, the SSA worked with the Department of Homeland Security to vet the legal status of immigrants in the country who were authorized to work, then automatically issued Social Security numbers.

Kathleen Romig, a former Social Security official now with the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, tells Rolling Stone the EBE program was created to more efficiently get legal immigrants into the system by automatically issuing them Social Security numbers instead of having them visit an SSA field office.
    ...

The pair appeared to have failed to understand that the “noncitizens” who have received Social Security numbers reflected in their chart were legal immigrants who entered the U.S. on work or student visas, or who were otherwise legally authorized to work in the country. Either that, or they were lying to the audience.

“All of the people who came in on that chart that you just saw, if the machine behind the Kamala puppet had won, then they would have actually legalized all those people and there would be no swing states,” Musk said of former Vice President Kamala Harris.

“These people are just entering the benefit programs now, by the way,” Gracias added, again not pointing out that the “noncitizens” on the chart had simply been granted Social Security numbers — not benefits.

Gracias and Musk’s comments are part of widespread claims that undocumented immigrants are receiving federal benefits like Social Security and Medicaid. The claims have been a regular feature of Republican talking points in the Trump era.

Trump himself has repeatedly claimed that undocumented immigrants receive Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare benefits, which is illegal. In February, Rep. John Moolenaar (R-Mich.) introduced a bill that would prohibit undocumented immigrants from receiving Social Security benefits — which has been illegal since 1996, when changes were made to the Social Security Act excluding immigrants who are not “lawfully present” in the United States.

To get a Social Security number, an undocumented immigrant would have to walk into a field office or apply online or over the phone — with fraudulent paperwork — O’Malley and Romig said. Musk claimed that undocumented immigrants “could actually just make it up. You could just show, like, a fake utility bill, or a medical bill and a school ID, and get a Social Security number and then from there you get on the voter rolls.”

O’Malley says there is no evidence of undocumented immigrants applying for and being granted Social Security numbers — let alone receiving benefits. He called the Musk and Gracias comments “another big lie.”

“They love to confuse having a Social Security number with getting Social Security benefits,” O’Malley tells Rolling Stone, adding that claims that illegal immigrants are receiving Social Security benefits are “made up and intended to inflame their base.”

“It’s just not true, and strutting in front of an American flag and putting it up a big graph doesn’t make it true,” O’Malley says.

While there is no evidence that undocumented immigrants are receiving Social Security benefits, they do contribute to the system. In 2022, undocumented immigrants contributed $25.7 billion to Social Security — money that goes to American citizens who are beneficiaries of the program.

    ------

That isn't denying Biden letting in a larger amount of immigrants, but the presentation of these guys are shady af and need to be held under a nonstop BS detector.

Yep, they're reserving the right for him to come back in a different capacity.

Yall better not get your hopes up that he's one and done for the year because the exemption/hack is for 120 days.

It's only 120 days for DOGE.

It's ultimately Elon's choice on whether he wants his empire to crumble faster or he wants to pretend he's playing a President Simulator while paying other people to work under his name.

Frankly, I still respect the things he's good at and his knowledge and relationship of China could do the US some good at shoring up weaknesses, but I think his motivations are hell bent on exposing WOKISM as some root cause for our decline. He could use his influence without DOGE to do that but there's something freaking him out beyond just evil billionaire self-interests.

Maybe it's in the water, or maybe the ketamine ain't up to snuff anymore.

It could be as simple as him going full ATW and believing everything on his X feeds.

Musk's Social Security plan is "profoundly stupid and will definitely fail" says expert

Elon Musk thinks he can modernize Social Security's 60-million-line COBOL codebase in just a few months. What could possibly go wrong? Only everything that keeps 73 million Americans' benefits flowing.

As reported in Computerworld, Musk's fake "Department of Government Efficiency" wants to convert the Social Security Administration's ancient payment system to Java. But they're ignoring decades of failed attempts and the system's mind-bending complexity. The IRS has been trying to update its own legacy code for decades with zero success.

The DOGE team's naiveté showed when they recently mistook a COBOL date formatting quirk for evidence of 150-year-old fraudsters stealing benefits. Even more concerning, they're tackling this massive project with just "nine kid software engineers" who likely can't read COBOL — a language taught in fewer than 25% of colleges a decade ago.

Former SSA deputy commissioner Jason Fichtner told CNBC the risks are enormous: "If you start messing with the system's code, that could impact those who are currently getting benefits now, and that's a new front-and-center concern."

Perhaps most telling is the assessment from Waldo Jaquith, former director of technology acquisition for the Inflation Reduction Act: "I'm an expert in modernizing legacy government software systems. This is profoundly stupid and will definitely fail, and it's just a question of whether our social security system fails along with it."
