My BP can't take **** like that. If he gets a contract like that again I wonder what kind of video with goats he has on Stone.

Unless he’s been playing with an undisclosed neurological condition that we don’t know about a three year $30 million is an overpay.

He’s played really bad ball this year and I’m not even talking about his shot being off. Poor shot selection, can’t go anywhere near the paint, step slower this year, and late game brain farts make him almost unplayable.

He feels like cooked Kenny Smith.

I keep hearing how great his D is and how he doesn't turn the ball over and every time I turn around he is getting smoked and turning the ball over or launching a brick.

Yeah for some players their peak just passed. Thats why I'm leery of Devin Booker at age 29 his stats are on the downtrend. Gonna be FVV 2.0.

We can cut him this offseason because we overpaid for him back then. We didnt have anybody else to pay before the money was just gonna get wasted.

Scared me for a second! To be fair, Shams DID report on this, and Fred DID sign a huge deal with us...in 2023 :p

The crazy thing in my opinion is if we decline our team option for Fred this summer, I honestly don't think it was that much of an overpay. I'm as critical of FVV as anybody, but he was a steady point guard for us these two years and I honestly think we don't develop so fast under Ime without his veteran presence.

No real problems with him as a Rocket so far. If we can do better in the offseason, we should try to do that.

He'd be an outstanding backup, but he ain't gonna make backup pg money.

Totally agree, and I think that’s why he was so effective and beloved in Toronto during their championship season. A low-turnover, change-of-pace guard who plays really hard on defense and can hit big shots after feasting on weaker bench defenses to help him get going. As a starter, we kind of lose that aspect of his game, at least that’s how I see it

    Agree with you.

We brought him in to hold fort until he gets outplayed. I think he's done his job. He kept the ship steady. He probably taught the kids a lot. He's done whatever the coach has asked of him.
