And I dug that about him. Let the starting pitchers eat. Throw the closer 90 times a year. We weren’t as good as the Braves during his time. I don’t blame him for that I guess.
We were always facing ten guys when facing the Braves. The Umpires called strikes WAY off the plate for their pitchers. But they did hit those spots off the plate consistently. Some called it the National League strike zone, but I never noticed anyone other than the Braves getting those calls.
LOL.4 ALCS, 2 WS appearnaces, and 1 win in 4 seasons. Yeah, a terrible manager. That 2020 season, with those injuries, may have been the best managerial job in Astros history.
While we’re on the topic of former managers…I was so excited when we hired Jimy Williams. Then I was not excited.
Dusty was not the worst Manager. I personally think he is one the best at handling locker rooms and big egos. He's just not very analytical and makes terrible personal and in game decisions based his biases.
Bregman with the chance to tie the game (2 on, 2 out in the 9th) and k's on a ball in the dirt to end the game. $40 mil my ass
I’m not against bringing Neris back but do we have the space for him? I would have liked for VanWey to have made the club, but not the end of the world to have options in the minors, especially with LMJ coming back soon? I don’t get the Contreras or Okert spots but admittedly have not watched them a lot.
He only wins when his teams are stacked. He is a terrible manager. He can't manage rosters correctly. I will say he's a good person
If he wants to pitch in SL for a while I'm not against it. I'd imagine some desperate team will pick him up for an MLB gig though
you need to go look at those rosters (2020-2023). How many players are injured or left in Free Agency. LOL.
