Phoenix Suns All-Star Kevin Durant is expected to miss at least one week through team's three-game road trip with a left ankle sprain, sources tell ESPN. Suns are 1.5 games out of Play-In with the toughest remaining schedule in the NBA.

If it takes FVV to get the salaries close that is a conversation starter, not a conversation ender, unless you think he's essential to winning a championship for us. FVV is on the wrong side of 30 himself and showing decline as well. While Fred may have more years in the league left than KD he's got nowhere near the production. They're both expiring so it's not any more of a long-term commitment one way or the other.

Because of roster spots and the horrible value that is FVV the deal has to be FVV. Brooks, et al can be used for something else. Remember Brooks and FVV were renting our cap. Some positive and some negative has come from that but it has outlived its utility.

I don't know - the tech has gotten better so there is a chance they can mitigate some of the impacts that have derailed other careers. I feel like the big man trouble normally starts when they put a little more weight on their bones and start to age. That being said, the blood clot thing is concerning but also a strange coincidence that this is happening to more and more players of all shapes/sizes- not just super tall athletic freaks like Wemby. I similarly developed a blood clot recently despite being a relatively fit and active guy so I'm on the "there is something larger happening here" train.

I completely disagree with this with regard to Brooks. He has been fantastic and is a part of pretty much all our most impactful lineups. I really wouldn't be surprised if he is extended.

I'm not exactly sure what I'd offer, but Amen / Green / Brooks / Durant / Sengun with Eason and Bari off the bench is a really intriguing lineup.

Jabari has been key to our defense. It should be Amen, Jalen, Durant, Jabari, Sengun. With Tari, Dillon, and hopefully Reed or a free agent signing off the bench. Even without Durant, we have the resources to construct the deepest team in the league.

I meant to say Eason and Bari off the bench, but I get your point. That is a pretty massive starting lineup.

Speaking of a hypothetical Durant trade, would y'all have any interest in Grayson Allen if the Suns wanted to move his money? He's been a .4+ volume 3 point shooter for the last 4 seasons.

No. Not enough besides the three ball.

Don't trade their pick back until we know where it is in the lottery

    Far too much.

    37 year old Durant.

FVV, Cam and 1 pick should do it.

Totally agree. I wouldn’t trade a top 3 pick in this draft for Booker, much less Durant.

“They offered Brown, White and first round pick. Brooklyn said no, kept him and ultimately traded him for a haul from Phoenix.”
