"March Jalen" is probably selling him short. Last year's March Jalen was just a Linsanity streak that was unsustainable over time. This year is more of a "process Jalen". He's gotten much better at making the correct reads, slowing the game down, picking his spots and seemingly is a much improved catch and shoot player. That last one is huge. My only quibble with him is that his defense lately hasn't been as good as it was earlier in the year. I also can live with his yolo shots because they're so infrequent at this point.

I was really impressed with how he handled Dyson Daniels pressure a few games back. Old Jalen would've coughed up the ball multiple times.

saw that and yeah i mean at the end of the day the correct read was the pass to Amen and im sure thats what he said but when big time players are feeling it these type of heat checks happen.

I do like that coach still wants to coach the correct things, even during a successful failure. The young guys have learned and grown so much under ime because hes constantly "coaching" the players/ During FTs, immediately after timeouts before team meetings, any small chance he has to coach up one of these young guys he takes it.

That was such a nice play I momentarily mistook him for Amen who has been wearing the cornrows lately

he rotates his hips soooo much better than years past and puts himself in such a better defensive positioning. its amazing how much hes grown defensively.

This was the first year where he regularly has been able to turn around bad starts to a game to still turn in stellar performances. He's actually made me trust him more than Sengun, who last year was Mr. Consistency for us but for some reason this year just has games where it feels like there's a lid on the basket when he shoots.

All growing pains for two guys who should stay in our top three for years to come. Next year we get to see what a roster looks like when the front office pivots to make Amen the superstar to build all things around, though. Green should fit in extremely easily next to that vision of a team.

The confidence Ime had when he first became head coach here with Jalen in giving him primary ball handling and offensive management duties(Fred's role) and the confidence he has now in that regard is night and day. Green now does all the little things required of a primary ball handler like hunting down mismatches his teammates have and finding them, controlling pace and being able to slow things down and then suddenly speed up when needed, making the correct read in a timely manner rather than sticking to the ball, ball security, commanding teammates to go to the correct spots for the play called etc.

This era of the Rockets won't have one heliocentric player. It's an offense that will run through 3 guys and that is fine, And far more versatile. There are cons to this compared to a heliocentric offense such as confusion on hierarchy when times call for one guy to be the top guy in high leverage situations but there are a lot more benefits in my opinion. I think Jalen will come out as the high high leverage " we need a bucket clutch scorer" guy due to his play style being suited for that while Amen and Sengun are more your steady anchors.

Are the whining grannies here listening?

I know it would kill you to give Udoka credit for doing a good job. Go ahead, embrace the pain and let your petty negativity die.

Case in point, simpleton throwing their tampon at me now because I criticized a player for playing poorly when they were playing poorly.

You crazy kids really should seek help with your parasocial relationship issues, it's not healthy.

Delusional angry boomers are always hilarious... though often unintentionally.

    Sure you are.

Here's some free advice, if you want to be effective when trying to talk ****, make sure it's based in reality, otherwise you just get laughed at.

Anyway, you've had enough attention for now, and I've let you derail the thread for long enough so let's end it here. We can always pick it up later and see if you've picked up any of my pointers.... after all, everyone needs a role model and it's never too late to learn.
