Scola was one of the best player in Euroleague.
I did not watch many NBA games of him but in Baskonia and Argentina he was so great player.
    About Alperen
He will be 24 - 25 10 6 maybe 7 or 8 next year. He was 2.05 and now 2.11 or higher. I hope he will balance his shoots and also free throws. He does not need 3 points. Just need to fix free throws and midlle range then he will be automacally 25 10 5 guy.

Lol personal preference doesn't make one better. The fact you can even say this is hilarious.

He needs to find his post offense. I didn't expect the regression there, but it happened this season. Right now his offense is mainly post shot clanks with the EEEEEEEYYYY everytime he releases the ball from his hands.

Also, he went away from the flamingo this year, and that's a shame because he needs some form of a dependable range to make his game easier. Ime seems to want to keep him in the paint as much as possible, but IMO he's at his best creating from the high post. We're wasting away his biggest talent, and that's his passing and vision. Especially when Amen and Tari are on the court with him. He should be getting 5 assists per game just from finding them on cuts.

Just from personal experience, which I know means nothing, when I lived there (during parts of Scola's 1st 2 years with the Rockets), he was much, much more loved than Manu.

Being loved more doesn't make you better..... like this board loves some Shane battier and half the board hates James harden. But that doesn't mean Shane battier is better.

after scoring his 3rd consecutive bucket, 5 minutes passed without him even touching the ball. Inexcusable. Followed by four turnovers trying to get him the ball during the front bear hug by the defenders.

This always happens...it’s like opposing teams start guarding Sengun tightly after he scores, and then we stop passing him the ball instead of finding ways to keep him involved. If it’s going to be like this in the playoffs, I’m bracing myself for the worst.

Yeah they adjusted quickly. It took about 2 minutes for Reddick to figure out the defensive strategy is "don't let Sengun touch the ball, aggressively double him if he gets it". We need to figure out a good counter to this but unfortunately I'm not sure a good counter exists aside from good 3 point shooting, which we don't have. But if they pack into the paint we just have to knock down shots.

whether it is green or Sengun, ime is stubborn and wrong about sitting them too much.

    Ime's gotta sit someone.

The Rockets do better with Sengun when Green is off the court.*

I would go with Sengun more often than not.

*Assuming Amen is in the game, and non-rotation players aren't.
**Assuming one and only one of Amen and FVV is in the game, and non-rotation players aren't.

Alperen should demand the ball more. Watch Jokic he is getting the ball at top of the key. Alperen used only 11 FG on last game which is lower than Brooks. He should use min 20 FG.

the root problem here, I believe, ime has not figured out what to do with amen. He is too good to be left out and possibly the future best player of the rockets. And ime is neither very good as an offensive coach not quick to make changes.

The problem is Alpi is much more difficult to get the ball to when defenses key on him than Jokic and he doesn't have nearly the shot-making ability of Jokic. Alpi getting 20 FGAs when teams focus on him is very unlikely because he just can't play like Jokic against tough defenses.
