Purdue was one of our worst performances all season, and we still found a way to win. Let's not have to do that this next three games, please!
The final 3 minutes had to be brutal for Tech fans -- your opponent makes damn near every shot (including a turn around 3) and you miss damn near every shot. Those 2 missed FTs on the 1-and-1 were basically 2 turnovers. Outscored by 15 points in the final 3 minutes -- BRUTAL
UH will have to bring their A game from here on out. If not, they will end their season against the Vols. Hopefully, they have gotten the "stinker" game against Purdue out of their system. Better lucky than good in that case. To be a champion you have to play like a champion. I don't feel as confident as I did a week or so ago. They need three A+ games in a row.
If they get past Tennessee, Duke is going to require Houston to play their best game in decades. It could happen, but damn this is a tough tournament.
There is a way to defend our play. But I'm not going to share it. Purdue is wrong. Communication is not the solution to the rubik.
If UH were to win out, it might be the toughest road to a title anyone has ever had. Gonzaga, Purdue, Tennessee, Duke, Florida/Michigan St/Auburn. That's an absolute murderers row.
My youngest went to a joint campus of Purdue and Indiana in Indianapolis. I went to UH for a little over two years so I should have had mixed feelings. Nope, all in for UH, even though I recognize absolutely nothing when I drive by the campus now.
That sounds right. It was in the central business district of Indianapolis. Or at least very close. I don't know how they define it, but it looked like it to me.
