I think this one's fairly winnable tbh, hopefully we keep it solid and put it away without too much trouble.
We could be the straw that breaks their back… A win tonight could help us in multiple ways: keep us up at #2 seed and knock them back further down in the draft and hopefully kill their will to want to finish the season (dropping even further into the lottery). Let’s go young fellas get this win.
Rockets need to play a complete game so they can clobber this team. But we know they will have a big lapse to fall behind or blow a lead. This is another opponent Alpi should feast on. Nobody on their roster can guard him if he's locked in. For that matter, every player on the roster should have an above-average game on offense except maybe Fred. Heh heh, let's hope KD only takes 12 shots again. I doubt it. Something must have been up last time. Looking forward to Amen on Booker. This will be their first and only meeting of the season.
This is a critical game for hanging onto the 2nd seed. The Lakers game will be tough on a B2B(and presumably without Tari) and the Suns are the far more beatable team. Plus getting this win would push Phoenix one step closer to the 11th seed.
You raise an important question with Tari and Steven Adams being held out of the Suns game in order to play the Lakers. Which one, both or neither?
Can always count on to show us the fancy meals. Not one, but two eggs? Isn't that like a $15 breakfast these days?
I would've preferred Ime use Tari against Phoenix and save Steven for the Lakers. But I guess they're going all in for that LA game.
Starting with Suns game through the end of the season. If Amen has his conditioning and health back, I really hope he can go on a defensive tear with the Rockets winning many of these stretch run games. Most of the Rockets remaining games are against high profile teams with high profile wings, so that increases the likelihood of getting national press coverage and national talking heads actually watching the games. Even if it is not enough to help him win the DPOY this season in a truly wide open season for the award, it could cement him on the All Defense 1st team and allow him to jumpstart his campaign for 25-26.
