Tesla should report earnings in late April - early May. By going with the May 16 options expiration instead of the April expiration, you put on a trade that spans an Earnings Report which some people are quite reluctant to do. I am not second guessing or criticizing since I expect poor numbers from Tesla wen they report. Just noting that you are more aggressive than some (many?) by going with the May expiration.
as do I; that is the reason why I sold the bearish CALL spread. collect a premium up front, let the time value of the options i sold decline, and the expected bad Earnings data to drive the intrinsic value down. i expect the CALL spread i sold will end up being worthless; thus i get to keep all the premium collected just the opposite, i am being conservative. look up time decay on options. i expect a bad earning report, particularly the units produced data. should it show a second consecutive Qtr of decline in production, that alone will drive the price down to close the211 gap
