Seeing Dennis Johnson in that video made me sad. I Grew up really disliking the guy because of the Rockets/Celtics series but in the early 2000’s I traveled with the Clippers a few times and got to know DJ. Great dude. The very first time we met, him and Alvin Gentry came to a grand opening we were having and DJ parked his car blocking a stage and my friend told him he couldn’t park there. DJ replied “I’ll only be two minutes”. My friend realized it was DJ and he asked him if he was indeed DJ and his response was “Yes I am, and I’ll still only be two minutes” Right around this exchange my dad came outside and yells out “ Dennis Johnson?!? Awwww maan, we haaaaaaated you when you played for the Celtics”. They went golfing together the next day. When he became the HC for the Clippers my cousin and I flew with the team to Seattle and when DJ spotted me in the lobby he yelled “Ohhh helll naaah, who let this boy fly with us, he’s a Rockets fan!” RIP to all of those that are no longer here from that video.
Idk Will Shai get the same whistle in the playoffs? Or will Silver treat him like Harden One of the main reasons OKC lost last year was because Shai wasn't getting his usual calls
Yea, not sure I'm ready to write off Boston or even the Cavs. Then there are several X factors out there. What happens if Bron and Luka catch fire? What happens if Playoff Jimmy goes postal? Oh, and for good measure, what happens if Jalen finds himself and our Double Big lineup is unstoppable? Okay, that last one is a stretch but seriously, we simply don't know about the Lakers or Warriors. I hope the Rockets don't match up with either of those two in the 1st round. Barring all that, we could go all the way! I'm not worried about the clippers since FVV has proven to be a far superior PG to James Harden.
I love the enthusiasm… but you do understand that to be able to come out of the west, we need to beat OKC in a 7 game series right?
I have feeling okc and Lakers, but if you can spoil the Lakers run this year would be nice in 2nd round..
I like your spirit thegary but I think you need to put some skin in this game so we know how serious you are! Maybe put $100 on your prediction and post the screenshot. Just and idea. You do that and then maybe henceforth CFs can have a day each year commemorating "THEGARY"! Or someone will volunteer to tattoo "thegary called it" on their calf or something. I'll even call my penis "thegary" but no tattoo.
