I'm surprised he didn't catch on. Decent positional versatility, power, speed, still young. His numbers didn't turn out great, but he never can quite get consistent time.
He has the ability I think - he just needs to make some adjustments. I wouldn't be surprised to see him thrive in Japan for a few years and then decide to try back again in the USA and stick, or maybe he decided to play a decade in Japan and call it a career. Either way, I am happy for him. He is known as a hard worker.
Interesting that Will Wagner is the one in the Kikuchi trade that would actually play for Toronto. I noticed that he played DH yesterday. A DH with no pop is barely useful.

I liked that trade bc I liked Vasquez and we definitely needed him, plus he caught the WS no hitter. What I didn't like is how we traded good prospects for him and Dusty barely used him after we acquired him.
i am dying to catch a game over there. I don't care what team. They bleed baseball it's awesome. So much energy.
I get mad about this trade all the time. Not because I dont like Vazquez or regret the trade. I hate it because we made a trade and the stupid manager refused to play him.
What's a bummer is that Enmanuel Valdez was the hotter prospect when we made the deal. Abreu was a lotto ticket throw in. Both of his HR were rockets, too.

Pressley almost blew a save. 4 hits and 2 runs and only won on a base running miscue. Yikes. He will always be a hero but I'm glad we were able to trade him for something good.
